Location

The hotel lies directly on the shore of the Griebnitzsee lake in Potsdam Babelsberg. The centre of Berlin is just 30 km away. There is an S-Bahn station 100 m away from the hotel. Nearby attractions include Babelsberg Film Studios and the Potsdam Film Museum, both of which are less than a 10-minute drive away.

Facility

3 junior suites, 3 suites, 2 single rooms and 79 double rooms are available to guests. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     It was the worst hotel on our Christmas trip, with the most expensive price. We requested a room with a view in a quiet part of the hotel, having written a letter to the hotel in advance with our wishes. But our wishes were not taken into account, rather the opposite - the room was provided in the building across the road from the main one overlooking the road and was very cold and uncomfortable. Weathered furniture, dirty refrigerator. Breakfast was also the worst of the seven hotels we stayed at during our trip. The only one good thing - we only booked one night. Unfortunately, I no longer want to come back here and recommend this hotel to anyone.     Good hotel, but without a possibility to enjoy

    Unfortuntalely, we didn't manage to use the hotel for the purpose we came for.We booked this hotel in the nature to be able to rest, but the weather was extremely hot and there was no air-co in the rooms, so it was not possible to stay in the room at all.There is a cozy restaurant in the hotel which we wanted to use instead, but it was closed because of lack of staff.. We asked if we can just use it, without the need of any service, but that was not possible. In the end we couldn't use the hotel and had to look for another cafe around, which ruined our overall experience and made us not like our stay.There was an annoyance with the cleaning staff as well, that decides to clean your rooms at 8:30AM. Yes, 8:30 in the morning you will hear a knock on the door that will wake you up and ask your room to be cleaned.Afterwards, we hanged a do not distrub sign, but the maid still insisted on cleaning our room, went inside and opened our curtains which made the room very hot when we were back.Keep in mind that even though the hotel has some nice chill areas, you will NOT BE ABLE TO STAY IN THE HOTEL, so better look for an option where you can actually chill in the hotel, if that's your goal.Location is good at the river and next to the S station.Breakfast is pleasant.     Meeting facilities are good, temperature in the meeting room was hot. Not quick to adjust. Rooms have a great lake view and for the rest oke. Restaurant used for buffet and one evening a 3-course diner. Standard food. Service is friendly and helpfull

    Two nights spent here. Place clean all over. They have two buildings, one at the lake, one in-between the road and rails. I slept in the latter, unfortunately noise gets in the room. With earplugs I could sleep well in the standard room. Rooms looking at the lake should be the only ones that have less or no noise. Seminar rooms were good, also with lake view. Breakfast was average (which is still good compared to many other countries), buffet unches and dinners had good choice though the culinary level was also just average. Overall a good stay, especially if you can have a room looking at the lake.

    Spent several days here. Very comfortable, spacious room. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice location alongside lake. Pleasant paths for walking. Varied and tasty breakfast - served indoors or on terrace.Good location. Train station just across the street; two stops into downtown Potsdam, half an hour to Berlin Central Station. Supermarket nearby as well as an excellent Italian restaurant, both an easy walk away.Dinner at the hotel restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. One shortcoming - no air conditioning.
