Stay Clear & AVOID, very stressful day

    rating24 Apr 2026

Disappointing is an understatement. On arrival waited 1.5 hours at brand station for the shuttle bus. Did not arrive as per schedule. Left standing in the cold.Eventually after making it to the entrance was met by 2 huge queues. The self check in machines were broke. We spent 30 minutes standing in humid heat to be told to go to the end of another line only to wait 30 minutes again. The initial lady on reception was very rude.We had no food or water for hours & felt so ill. Vending machine in reception was broken.I rang the phone line to complain about the situation and was told that they are always understaffed & there is nothing they can do.Eventually after getting in ran around trying to figure out how to use the lockers as noone explained. The food is ok and bit bland.Sand is everywhere with no taps working to wash feet. There was no supervision on any slides and kids were throwing themselves down the slides.AVOID, AVOID, AVOID like the plague!!!!!!!

    animal abuse

    rating24 Apr 2026

It’s so cruel to let animals live like that. Have we not learned yet? The air must be so poisonous for them. So so sad to see. Couldn’t enjoy my time there cause I was constantly worried about all those animals. Running on concrete, having way too less space to truly live like they’re used to. Truly sad. It needs to stop and you know it. It’s not right, you’re abusing those animals.

    Cockroach-infested rip-off

    rating18 Apr 2026

Cockroach-infested rip-off, stay away!I paid 290 Euros for a single night in a “premium” double room. It was a heartlessly furnished, dirty room on ground level, surrounded by screaming children with windows facing the public. But the real cherry on top were the giant cockroaches, which started crawling out from behind the furniture as soon as we turned the lights down. There was nobody at the information desk, so we left. Tropical Islands is unwilling to offer any kind of refund, they unempathically explained that the cockroaches were a completely normal and acceptable part of the tropical experience. Outrageous!Further, I had paid an extra 170 Euros for the “all inclusive” package. Like a good guest, I did the online check-in and retrieved my bracelet from the check-in machine. At the restaurant, I was told I need to go all the way back to the entrance to get an additional armband and refill cups to use the restaurant. So there was 0 consideration put in for those customers who are willing to pay the most and use online check-in, which is all in their interest. The lady at the information desk was rude and cold, made me wait unnecessarily while chatting with her colleague about mundane matters. Once we got into the “restaurant” it turned out it was a buffet with mediocre, cantine-style food, which was mostly the same for lunch and dinner. The only good things were the sauna, steam room, and lagoon. All are available without the hassle and at a fraction of the cost elsewhere.

    Overpacked, understaffed, food not great

    rating09 Apr 2026

Critically understaffed, slides closing due to no staff. No shop onsite so not good value without a car. Over packed with visitors, hard to find subbed. Food ⬇️

Great concept, terrible execution on the business side

    rating01 Apr 2026

The park itself is fine — that’s not what this review is about. This is about the sales and support infrastructure, which is shockingly bad for a company of this size.I subscribed to the newsletter expecting occasional deals. Received a promo code. The code didn’t work at checkout. Fair enough, bugs happen. I called support. The agent’s response? “Send a screenshot.” When I asked how long the fix would take, he said at least two days — because the case has to be forwarded to their team in Spain. For a non-functioning coupon code. A problem any competent backend engineer could diagnose and resolve in minutes. This tells me a few things: there’s no proper engineering team maintaining the website, the support team has zero autonomy to resolve even basic issues, and the internal tooling is so disconnected that a German call center has to escalate to Spain via what I can only assume is carrier pigeon. The website itself feels like it hasn’t seen a meaningful technical overhaul in years. The whole digital side of the business reeks of legacy infrastructure held together with duct tape. And here’s the real issue: none of this will change. Tropical Islands operates as a near-monopoly in the Berlin/Brandenburg region. There’s no competitor forcing them to improve. They have a customer feedback survey at the end of the booking process, which is a nice gesture — except I’m convinced nobody reads the responses. The entire sales model is focused on extracting maximum revenue per visitor, not on customer satisfaction or retention. The newsletter subscription is bait. The promo codes are unreliable. The support is slow by design. Do with that information what you will.
