  Rooms with the bare essentials & keys that never seem to work

  I was staying there for 2 nights during a family visit over Christmas.While the rooms were clean, they were also very basic with just the bare essentials present – not even a complimentary bottle of water. WiFi was free of charge, but also extremely slow.However, my biggest complaint is about the room keys. When I came back in the evening my room key wasn’t working anymore. So I went down to the reception where I received a new one and guess what - it didn‘t work either - and neither did the third keycard they gave me!After 20 minutes they finally managed to give me a keycard that was actually working…at least until the next morning when I came back from breakfast and the same problem occured over and over again.According to the staff at the reception this wasn’t a one-off problem, but seems to happen quite frequently! Sorry, but having to run back and forth 3-4 times between your room and the reception every single time you want to enter you room is simply unacceptable.   A good hotel, needs some development

  The room was cold, I asked for a solution, but the only thing was offered is an extra blanket. I have used the hotel before during summer time, the experience was much better. The free internet is very limited, this should be mentioned clearly when the hotel is advertised.   Don't expect miracles. Tryp Bochum is simply B&B room with bath. you can choose to have breakfast for a simple fee if you like. The staff are a bit nonchalent och you are the invisible guest, The staff wouldn't tell what the hotel has to offer if you don't ask.   The rooms are clean, the staff are really nice, breakfast has everything you need and/or want.Had dinner in the restaurante, also good, nothing much to say.Tip for smokers: the only placce you can smoke is outside, no shelter, if it's rainning you'll get wet.   Quality good value hotel

  We stayed on the way to our holiday in Denmark. I was impressed that our comments were read ( requesting connecting rooms and anti-allergy bedding). Rooms were clean and well prepared (including the extra bed as requested and an additional towel for our son in the room). Breakfast was very good, a nice selection with fresh fruit and lots of choice. We were very happy to have paid around £120 for two rooms and breakfast for 5.
