Location

This hotel is very centrally and conveniently located, close to public transport and the heart of Bremen. Various shopping and entertainment facilities are to be found in the near vicinity of the hotel. The historical old town is located around 15 minutes' walk away. The stop for the public transport is to be found just a stone's throw from the hotel (100 m). The famous Becks brewery is roughly a 5-minute drive away and the nearest city park is about 700 m from the hotel. Transfer to Bremen airport takes about 15 minutes (roughly 6 km). It is a direct connection by tram.

Facility

2 suites, 39 single rooms and 133 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. A generous breakfast buffet and lunch are served every day. Special culinary options, such as diet meals, are also available. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available.

    I was st Best Western Hotel Zur Post for four nights. Two sides of this stay:On the positive side: Best Western Hotel Zur Post is in front of the main railway station (i. e. easily reachable, several public transportation options nearby); breakfast was good; free wi-fi worked well; my room was spacious and there was an excellent insulation from outside noise.On the negative side: the bed was short, and the pillows were either too small (30x30 cm) or too big (80x80 cm); the shower was quite narrow (75x75 cm) and uncomfortable; there was no insulation from nearby rooms; staff was generally not friendly, with one case bordering on rudeness: I got a late checkout at 1 pm, and at 12:05 pm someone knocked on my door. When I opened, the first thing I was told was "So, are you going to leave or not?" I explained I got a 1 pm checkout and he said "OK" and went away...

    Located near the railway station. Easy 10 minute walk into the city. Reception staff were not very friendly- insisting we check in on a keypad rather than in person - even though they weren’t busy. The room was very quiet and clean with a good sized bathroom. The breakfast choice was really good and the waiting staff were polite. The extra bonus of access to an indoor swimming pool and steam room was great for the price we paid for one night stay.

    This hotel is in need of refurbishment, the rooms and furnishings are very dated, it’s like stepping back in time to the 1970 The bathroom was v old and getting in and out of bath very slippery. Oldest hair dryer ever. Hotel is ideally located near Railway Station and about a 15 to 20 minute stroll to city centre. Rooms are not serviced And you can not check in before 3pm, we arrived at 2.40pm and had to wait. Breakfast buffet is its only redeeming feature, very good selection and helpful staff

    We picked this hotel while it advertised 4 stars and was close to the main train station. Our visit was disappointing. Their idea of 4 stars and ours is somewhat different. Sleeping was difficult due to having very heavy blankets that were too warm. Large square pillows that were too big to fold and one had to move most of it out of the way and sleep on a corner. Couch made stretching spring sounds when sitting on it - wasn't sure what might happen. TV was old, clunky Toshiba that had seen better days. Difficult to get a response from remote control and it would turn off by itself sometimes. Breakfast was OK if you stuck to the fresh items, raw vegetables, cold cuts, smoked fish and rolls. Avoid the "scrambled eggs" in the warmer. Just a heap of congealed yellow polymer that had to be sliced out. Coffee was the weakest I have ever had in Europe. "Orange juice" out of the machine still has undissolved powder in the glass and is overly sweet. Staff in the dining area were very friendly and accomodating. Now comes my biggest complaint and the reason I WILL NEVER VISIT this hotel again. See the attached photo depicting a sign (warning) stuck to the bathroom mirror. In my sink it was vitrually impossible to get cold water from the sink water tap. Luke warm was the norm. The scalding warning applies to the nasty little plastic shower cabinet too. I had to literally bail out of the shower twice as the was suddenly became way too hot for comfort. Their policy seems to warn you of what might happen instead of fixing the problem. If the management here ran Boeing Aircraft that's probably stick signs of avery 737 window stating they can't guarantee that all, if any door plug bolts are installed.

    NEED BETTER COMMUNICATION Recommended and most all is fineClean convenient . fitness area above expectation.Suggestions:Pancakes flavorful with real maple, look fine but near impossible to cut without a kitchen scissor or pizza cutter.have the chef try the ones after sitting.We usually decline room make up and cleaning except once every 3-4 days.We requested cleaning on our 4th day - to 3 floor housekeepers and hung the door sign.Each person said their colleague would do it.No go.Went to reception in person and to our dismay, still undone.Broken system needs fixing .Help!
