  Passport stolen impacting upon travel experience

  My son wanted to explore/travel Germany and booked this hotel, as part of his trip. On arrival to the hotel, he immediately noticed the amount of people around the area that were involved in drug related activity. It unsettled him and within a day, he contacted me to arrange an earlier flight to return home. We planned to book a flight the following morning only to discover that his passport had been stolen out of the room that he had been staying. The passport was not on display and was securely placed in a back pocket inside his backpack. I then had to arrange an emergency pass port from the British Embassy; they were efficient however my son had to then wait a further 4 days for the courier service to deliver it to him. I contacted the hotel on behalf of my son, regarding the theft and the Receptionist would not acknowledge that this had happened; passport stolen from between the hours of 11am -1pm. I reported the theft to the police. This was a frustrating and disappointing situation for my son which had impacted his travel experience. I would not suggest this area/hotel for young travellers.

  Hotel is at the more budget conscious end of the scale. 10 min walk to the centre of Bremen. The immediate area is, as other reviews suggest, a little seedy but there were no problems and nobody approached us. Reception staff mainly helpful excedt for when I asked for a second pillow as the one I had was paper thin. I was rudely told that they dont have any available and would have to remove one from an empty room which they werent prepared to do. Outrageous. Breakfast was fine.

  Pleasant stay but area lets it down.

  The hotel is nice enough, as are the staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We had single rooms which were largely ok although one was not nearly as nice as the others which was a little odd. Breakfast was very disappointing as no hot food at all other than some hard boiled eggs. Otherwise rolls, cheeses, cold meats and a few cereals (tea and coffee of course). The worst thing thing, which the hotel themselves cannot do anything about is the area is a a little unpleasant, particularly in the evenings.

  This area is surrounded by homeless addicts, and I witnessed a guy viciously hitting another with some object just under my window. As a young male, I might stay here, but certainly not as a female or older person.

  Very suitable, pragmatic hotel if you need to stay near Bremen Hauptbahnhof, with high and airy rooms and an independent feel to it. Generous breakfast buffet with many sweet and savoury options, spacious breakfast suite, with outdoor seating also in Spring and Summer. Paint work of the door to my 1st floor room looked tired, which also suffered a little from early morning kitchen noises from below. I liked the option of earning a bottle of sparkling water by foregoing a superfluous daily clean of your room. Mini-fridge, safe and hot drink-making facilities. Very good value for money over all.
