This charming hotel is surrounded by 200 hectares of national parkland and situated by a lake. The beautiful, romantic old city of Bremen, with its historic marketplace, the famous Böttcherstraße and the Schnoorviertel are only a few minutes away. The city centre with the River Weser, numerous shopping opportunities, the cathedral, the Bremen city musicians and the town hall is around 1.5 km away. Nearer to the hotel, guests will find the Universum Science Centre Bremen (roughly 1.5 km from the hotel). A bus station can easily be reached on foot within a few minutes (700 m) and the train station is around 900 m away. Bremen airport can be reached in 20 minutes by making use of public transport (about 7 km away).

7 junior suites, 13 suites, 78 single rooms and 77 double rooms are available to guests in a 4-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings.     Beautiful hotel is wonderful setting

    We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful hotel. From the moment you drive up to it your’e transfixed the setting on the lake and next to the park is lovely.We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 dogs. We had booked a room with a view of the lake although quite small it had everything you needed. It was decorated in a classic style and was clean and fresh. There was even a dog bed and the biggest water bowls ever! The ability to sit on the balcony and ponder your thoughts was great.We ate in the restaurant on both evening once inside and once on the terrace. On both occasions the food was outstanding and the attention given by the staff was perfect. The spa area is well presented and the ability to have a swim outdoors was wonderful especially given the high temperatures.The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city so about a 30 minute walk to the river area. Although Bremen was nice it is not a city we would rush back to although another visit to this beautiful hotel can’t be ruled out.     Nice hotel but bad value

    We got ‘Upgraded’ from our other hotel with a good location got closed.The hotel is not in a brilliant location as it is quite a long walk through the park which felt unnecessary late at night.The atmosphere by the reception desk was very posh, which generally is not what we go for.We also got upgraded to rooms which usually are 450 euros a night! That would have been awful value, but we payed a dirt cheap price.Other people said they had bad experience with cleanliness, but for our room it was very clean.The noise levels were low, but opening and closing the doors from the other side of the hallway disturbed us at night.We couldn’t check out the amenities really, but they looked nice.Breakfast was very nice with good service, not the broadest choice of food compared to other hotels locally.     We originally booked the Dorint Hotel in the city centre, but it was closed, so our reservation was transferred to the Parkhotel Bremen. At first, we thought this would be an upgrade, as it is a five-star hotel.Although the location was farther from the city centre than we had planned, that wasn’t a major issue since we don’t mind walking.However, when we arrived at our room, we discovered that it had no air conditioning and it was extremely hot. We reported this to the reception, but instead of offering us another room, we were only given a fan.The following morning, we also found that there was no hot water in the room. For us, air conditioning (especially in such hot weather) and hot water are basic expectations, which is why we have given this rating.Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be staying at a Dorint hotel again.
