Positives: - the size of the room is more than accommodating - the location of the hotel from the city center was alright - the view of the room we stayed in - not spectacular - the surroundings - beautiful park in the back with a small river where you can admire the wild ducks - the cleanliness standard is good - the price range based on the offer is more than alright- the breakfast was alright - the most important aspect: the allow pets since we were travelling with our dogNegatives: - very small packing place in front of the hotel - apparently there is an underground parking place designated for the hotel. I wish we could have seen the parking place but were not able to due to the lack of information provided by the receptionist. We arrived after a long day in the evening when all the parking places in front of the hotel were taken. We drove in the back, which, by the way, is not that easy to find; you try to go to the underground parking lot and you find yourself in front of a closed gate with no doorbell to ring. We did not think of asking how is the access to the underground parking lot since you have a receptionist to provide you with all the information or, at least, ask you about the means to travel. I am guessing the underground parking lot is not free but not being provided with a piece of information about how much it costs and how do you access the parking lot is not something what I would qualify as good service- in the morning, right before I entered the elevator, I was asked the number of the room, still not sure why, maybe my face gave them the wrong vibe or my dog's demeanor, not sure which good service. - the messages in the bathroom about dancing all night to save on heating, etc., etc. It is very nice the hotel lets us know what is important to them and, indirectly, inviting us to feel the same. After you travel for 7 hours you expect a warm room not an invitation to go out dancing to warm yourself, thus, not needing heating in the room. The hotel needs to invest in quality personnel who is able to provide all the information they would have liked to be provided should they have been a guest of the hotel. It is a pity to having to list the negatives which are no more than a reflection of the lack of details provided or of poor instruction before employment in such an important position. Reception is the first impression of everything. Even if the hotel is not perfect, you need to know, as a guest, that you have people you can rely on to solve your issues.

Perfectly good business hotel

The hotel is pretty decent. The room was large but felt a bit sparse with the basic furniture. However, it was spotlessly clean and perfectly functional. The staff were great and super friendly. The only real downside was that the breakfast was a bit limited and could get full very quickly, leaving limited choice. It's quite a business focused hotel, but it would also be a good choice for a long weekend. Whilst the hotel is a few minutes outside the city centre there is a team stop with a 2 minute walk so easy enough to get round. They also have loads of car parking.

Our Princess for one day tours take us to Zwickau now and then - and we have stayed here multiple times. We have sure been in hotels that have more wow-factor than this one, but it was very clean, very conveniently located and everyone was very friendly. I would not pick this as a prime holiday location nor would I do a 30+ min detour just to stay here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve 5 stars), but other than that I would, if in need in the area, always book this again (actually, we just did ;-)

Ordinary hotel with a friendly staff

Achat in Zwickau is an ordinary hotel. Room was clean and quite spacious but too dark and a bit noisy. What I really appreciated was very friendly staff, far above German standard.They only offer breakfast to go nowadays due to Corona limitations which is a bit uncomfortable but the hotel staff makes it very well. They are helpful, caring and always smiling. Hotel has a little parking lot in front of main entrance but the space here is limited. I recommend using their underground garage with the entrance from the street in the back of hotel. There are signs at the main road but not well visible.
