Friendly staff and very good location. But the hotel is really worn, and my room was really old and scruffy and very strangely furnished. And with loud noises from the corridor. It really does not deserve four stars. Breakfast was sort of decent.

How this hotel got 4 * is unbelievable. The rooms are almost like dorm rooms in college, with the same furniture and some with a sink in the room. The bathroom fan is extremely noisy and takes a long time to stop. The breakfast has a decent amount of options but nothing changes from one day to another, absolutely nothing. Same dried eggs and same types of cheese and meat. Not even one salad. This hotel is in a really great central location in Bonn, on the market square and also not far from the river and the main station. I stayed in a single room which was quite basic but comfortable and fine. I didn't have the breakfast as it seems expensive and there are many cafes nearby. Well this hotel is iconic and there's a reason for that. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are great, plenty of room to spread out. The staff was very pleasant, but you can't overlook the perfect location! The cafe's out front overlooking the square is the best spot to enjoy a coffee or wine or a meal, it never gets old. This is worth checking out, you won't be disappointed!I didn't drive, so can't talk about that.

Very centrally placed, but coming by car - this is a carfree zone( only pedestrians).Use the Markt Garage and you will be 50-60 m from the hotel( I had to call them and they were not very supportive to give us the tip about using this garage)....When I said I was outside "marktgarage" then they told me.This information should be printed on the hotel pages.Room:Ok in an old hotel. Airconditon?No - which is not good enough when the summer gives us around 25-30 degrees C in the night.Breakfast:Nothing special( in France or elsewhere in Germany we paid around 10-11 EUR).Here they demanded 19 EUR !!!!!Horrible.Just skip it and go outside - there are cafees just outside and you pay from 6 - 12 EUR depending on what you want.
