    Excellent welcome to this lovely quiet hotel. We were on a room only basis with a riverside view. Room spacious & very clean with a choice of pillows. The restaurant & bar area is in the basement, which has no lift so not good if you have mobility issues. Good walking shoes are needed as the footpaths are cobbles in places. The town is a short walk to the parks & shops. This hotel is a great location for visiting Bonn.     Lovely Marathon Wake-Up Call

    “Lovely Marathon Wake-Up Call. Would Not Recommend.”My wife and I chose this hotel for a one-night stay while attending a friend’s birthday nearby. Simple enough plan. Or so we thought.Upon arrival, the receptionist greeted us with a cheerful “Oh, did you not get our e-mail?” regarding the Bonn Marathon taking place directly around the hotel the following morning. We did not. We did, however, receive a marketing e-mail three days prior offering us a special parking deal. Priorities, clearly, were in order.The situation: no car access from 7am to 5:30pm, parking relocated 2 km away, and the reassurance that taxis would be permitted to reach the hotel. They were not.Sunday morning, after a late night out, we were woken at 7:45am by the combined efforts of a sound system and a microphone operator who appeared to be under the impression that enthusiasm is a substitute for talent — both stationed at the marathon start/finish area immediately outside.We will now enjoy a 30-minute walk to retrieve our car.We were offered a complimentary breakfast. A generous gesture. We will not be returning to enjoy one.     Lovely and relaxing

    Second time of staying here because we enjoyed it so much last time.This time we had a view of the Rhine, which was lovely.Staff were friendly & helpful.Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of food.Dinner was good, though book ahead for evening meals, as we missed out on our last night!We stopped for lunch before departing, which was nice with friendly staff again.The hotel is ideally situated for shopping trips into Bonn and it’s a great place to relax and a gym too.     Great location, but check your bill for mistakes

    This is an old building in a convenient location near the river. However, there were a few issues:After parking in the garage, one has to take a dirty stairwell and go outdoors before entering the hotel building. This is not ideal when it’s raining. I was required to register the parking ticket at the reception, but the staff said the machine had retained the ticket and couldn’t return it or issue a new one for another 15 minutes.We had booked four rooms, but the staff made a mistake setting up the key cards.When we checked out, I found multiple errors upon requesting to review the bill. I had reserved several breakfasts when I booked the rooms online, but this was ignored. The staff/system automatically charged the maximum number of adult breakfasts to my bill without confirming. We stayed two nights but were charged for three nights of parking. It took at least three rounds of discussion before all the errors were finally corrected.Despite all the mistakes, the staff never apologized.For tourists who prefer a double bed, please note that this hotel does not have real double beds. In a double room, there are two single beds with separate mattresses, individual sheets, and two small duvets.
