  Good visit, great family rooms, ideal for Phantasialand

  Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids ages 13 and 6 for 2 nights in July. Booked a family room.Checked in quickly at reception. €5 per day to park your car at the hotel. I feel if you've booked into a hotel to stay overnight, then you should receive a space FOC to park your car, however checked in quickly. Family rooms on floor 3. Clean (apart from mould on our shower ceiling!!!), spacious and the fact that kids 2 single beds are up a set of very narrow steep stairs, it keeps them separate from main room in evenings when they are in bed 😀Secure gate at top of the stairs also for little ones.We stayed as were visiting Phantasialand theme park. Drive within an hour to the park from hotel.Reception has a vending machine selling snacks, juice and some alcohol -prosecco, wine and beer from as little as €2.50!not too bad 😀 Hotel is located just outside Frechen. Has a drive through burger king (which we never used) and withing walking distance an American restuarant called MsPepper and a mcdonalds (nice easy food for kids!)Half hour walk takes you into the center of frechen,which is a lovely picturesque town with trams into cologne. We ate a few times in Frechen, but I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Alter Bahnhof Frechen,next to tram station. Food, location, and staff all amazing 👏 and have a lovely little garden out back which you can sit and relax and have an old camper van decorated. Price good also.Overall -an enjoyable stay but wouldn't stay longer than the 2 nights, as kids would be absolutely bored!

  Avoid this hotel at all costs. We didn’t sleep at all due to unbearable noise in the room + due to the neighbors. The management completely ignored our complaint. They’re happy to take your money but provide no service or care in return. Go sleep somewhere else.

  Worst Hotel and Nightmare Stay

  I was attending a wedding in Frechen and stayed in this hotel for four nights (flew from Australia) from 28th March as ZI had to attend a few functions. I had the worst NIGHTMARE stay in this hotel. My HAND LUGGAGE which was locked in my hotel room with my PASSPORT, MONEY, two pairs of specs, watch and a few other items require for travelling was STOLEN, in fact the whole hand luggage was stolen from the room (because it was locked). I strongly suspect it was an inside job who had the access code to the room. I have plenty of grey hair not young by any means, imagine the stress I had to undergo loosing my passport and money in a foreign country. Hotel reception simply asked the cleaners whether they had seen anyone taking the had luggage (Think this is stupid way of handing the case) and asked me to call police. Rooms has NO safe, NO CCTV in corridors, cleaners got their big linen trolly with big garbage bags sitting in the corridors, cleaners are waiting in the corridors playing with their mobile phones. Wonder what they are upto. Reception will ask you to call Police even if worst happens to the life. I will never ever stay in this hotel. This review is coming from someone who has travelled the world extensively, travelled for business.WORST HOTEL

  Comfortable family room 5 miles from central Cologne.

  Comfortable family room, with separate area on a higher level for children's beds. Good value at £96 per night. Only 5 miles from central Cologne, just outside the emissions zone, and cheap and easy to travel into Cologne and back by train/bus.

  Ideal motorway stop

  The hotel is just off the main A1 Autobahn and is designed for an overnight stop. We were three adults driving from France to Denmark and we needed somewhere close to the motorway system with easy parking, 24/7 reception and a clean room with three beds and a decent bathroom. If that's what you are looking for then you can't fault this place. Easy to find, plenty of parking, fast and effective check in and out and a room with one double and two single beds (single beds up some steps in a separate loft area). Small bathroom but perfectly OK for one night and the room had TV and free wifi. There is even a 'Breakfast as you go' option for about 5 euros. A couple of diners just across the road and a petrol station next door. All for about 70 euros. I can't fault it at all and wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm in the area.
