  Una pessima esperienza! A terrible experience!

  I am very uneasy to have to write such an unpleasant review!Unfortunately I find myself obliged to stress once more that my experience in this Arcadia Koln hotel room has been dreadful. The room was wrongly commercialized and turned out to be a tiny cubicle of 9 square meters, placed right on the staircase exit, in the middle of all people’s constant passage and noise! All day and night it went goes on and on... impossible to rest! The only window was badly insulated, therefore a freezing breeze kept storming in, impossible to avoid since the bed was right under the window and the room was basically the size of a coffin!! The room was dirty and extremely uncomfortable.To access the minuscule bathroom you basically had to jump off the bed! Simply terrible!I tried endlessly and in vain to get a change of room,but naturally no refund nor change of room were possible. The only thing I achieved were a lack of and absolutely poor assistance throughout this whole unfortunate matter from both Expedia and the Hotel!A total abuse and nightmare!Never again!!

  The check in and breakfast has to be done at another hotel.Really terrible and even worse that they don’t mention it on any site you might try to book. Rooms and toilets are really small. Also asked for a room with one big bed cause we have a toddler and got a room with 2 one person beds.

  We stayed here for 1 night. You have to check in at another hotel but it is only 3 minutes away. Our room was clean and warm. It is not very big but we only needed it for sleeping. The one thing I could not find in the room was a hair dryer. We had breakfast included and had to go to the hotel we checked in. For how much we paid the breakfast was good. The tram to the city centre was only a 5 minutes walk away and took about 15 minutes to get to the centre. The tram also stops next to the train station so getting to and from the airport is straight forward.

  The pictures on Booking.com do not really tell all about this hotel.The rooms are very basic, with very cheap furniture. The bathroom was terrible, the shower cubicle was rusty with holes in the base that let out the water onto the bathroom floor.Check-in had to be done at another establishment about a 10 minute walk away. Unfortunately for our group we visited at the height of the recent summer where temperatures where over 30 degrees, there was no AC in any of the rooms.The hotel is a fairly long tram ride outside of the city centre and then a further 10 minute walk from the tram stop.Breakfast was poor.

  I wanted one night near the huge conference facility at Messe and Arkadia fitted the bill - walking distance, decent room rate, breakfast and wifi included. I booked a single room and got one - perfectly decent width bed and very comfortable so no complaints. The breakfast had options (cheese, cooked/cured meat, boiled eggs, rolls/bread/toast, cereals, fruit, salad etc) and tea coffee juice: no complaints from me and it was served from 0630 for any early risers which as it happens I was.
