    This is a disgrace

    rating09 Oct 2023

I am normally reluctant to leave negative reviews however this hotel is probably the worst I have experienced in 30 years of travel. Do not believe the photos. My room was tiny, no hot water in the mornings, if you like your breakfast eggs by the slice then maybe you will be ok. I paid over £5000 for two rooms during Anuga week. I did not sleep, they did not help when I complained. When you are on business you need some sort of comfort to sleep. This is a disgrace. Please avoid.......Oh by the way, no wardrobes or drawers to put your clothes. So unless you are backpacking this is not an option. No access is available except through a rear entrance after 10pm. Really? My colleague who arrived from Poland late in the evening had to go through hoops, late at night, and as a woman she felt very uncomfortable.

    Worst hotel ever...AVOID

    rating25 Dec 2022

Do not stay at this hotel, its more like a hostel, rooms don't looks like they do on pictures, beds are not proper beds, it's a mattress on top of what can only be described as as sofa bed base it was like sleeping on a trampoline, everytime.i turned over i thiught i was going to bounce starught out of the window. Bathrooms are very tiny, so much such so that I couldn't wash my face at the sink, i had to lean over the shower cubicle to have a wash, shower cubicle was tiny so could not get in the shower without turning the bathroom in to a tsunami.THERE ARE NO DRINK FACILITIES. You are only able to access hot drinks at breakfast time and they have an overpriced fridge in the foyer with a small selection of drinks. THE BAR IS CLOSED, no staff to open the bar . The woman who was on the desk at night was very rude and abrupt and also a woman who works at breakfast was very rude to the point that another member of staff apologised for the way she spoke to us. The breakfast buffet is very basic and not worth the €12.90 per person per day. DO NOT BE LATE FOR BREAKFAST!! wow... we were 5 mins late, we didn't know what time breakfast finished as we weren't told when we checked in, we were a few minutes late and was greeted with a woman wagging her finger at me shouting no no no , she took my plate and said breakfast done. There was loads of food left but we were not allowed to get any, instead the staff came in and helped themselves and the very woman who shouted at me came in with a plate full of food and sat on a table near us and ate her breakfast. WE WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN !!!

    Stinky noisy hotel

    rating11 Oct 2022

This hotel is close to Koelnmesse... And that is the only positive thing. The rooms are dark, they stink and they are super noisy. You can hear everything from outside the hotel, next rooms or corridor... Unfortunately the guests here are not very educated and get drunk and make parties until 6am (yes... Until the morning and meaning the entire night). If you want to get help from the reception in such cases.... Well, there is nobody there. The moquette in the rooms and in the corridor is dirty, filled with stains and obviously is not very hygienic. The bed and pillow are extremely uncomfortable but... Since the neighbours are partying you won't be able to sleep anyway. The area around the hotel is also quite bad... Ahhh... I almost forgot: during the night it may happen that random strangers manage to open the door to your room with their key(card).... So expect visitors. It happened to us several times and in different rooms since we have booked more than 1 room...

    Avoid it

    rating11 Sept 2022

The place is very basic and the service is doubtful. Building is not a normal brick construction but some 5 cm thin wall panels. When someone is snoring everybody on the floor is hearing it. During the night temperature gets low and you feel it in bed. There is no air conditioning. There is no minibar. There is no safe. TV has 12 channels and the remote control has 5 buttons (first ti in my life I see such top technology).Bathroom is tiny. Sitting on toilet is not just uncomfortable it might be problematic.Cleanness is doubtful- I left on the floor a piece of paper and it stayed there for the whole time.Towels are smelly and thin. They change them every day.Breakfast is basic. Fruits is a notion- few pieces chopped and put together. Chef in the kitchen boils eggs till they get blue… Bacon is crispy - so crispy that difficult to be swallowed- no matter how hard you try.Floors in common areas are old and damaged. Elevator is slow and often you will not be patient enough to wait it.Service - lady on daily shift at the reception knows at least 100 approaches how to refuse any request. Do not waist your time with her. The guy on the night shift is totally opposite- friendly and helpful. And of course management keeps him as a best kept secret on night shifts. During breakfast you will see a skinny chamber service lady running around like headless chicken among guests. Why she is there with mop, rubber gloves etc. nobody knows. Of course they have more people from maintenance- they will pass by your breakfast plate because this is their way to the smoking area…In short - sad story.

    Worst Hotel Ever

    rating08 Oct 2021

We have paid €5100 for 5 nights for 2 rooms . The rooms are in the 3rd floor without a lift so we have to walk up 3 floors with heavy luggage . Next morning we are told that rooms are cleaned every 3 days and we should pick up our clean towels from reception . This is a disgrace to the German Tourism Industry . The Authorities should be closing down this Hotel immediately .
