    Everything was good from the speedy early check-in to the most wonderful breakfast I have had in years, only 9 euro. Shower is a bit small but oh well. Warm and cozy!! Great location for tourism attractions. If you are searching for inexpensive lodging with a value breakfast- search no more, this is it!!!!!!!!!!!

    Got scammed!Thought I booked a 3 Star hotel in Cologne. The Cerano City Hotel Koln am Dom sells itself as a respectable and safe place to stay BUT IT IS NOT.It is not clean, not safe, not welcoming, will have building works going on when you arrive with no notice of this before staying. You will not want to stay here as it is so filthy and disgusting. The place is so rundown, the towels look 25 years old, and the carpets look like they have been vomited on hundreds of times. I am trying to get my money back from this scamming hotel.If I could give them less than 1 star I would.I didn't even stay at this hotel as it felt so disgusting, unclean and unsafe, and I am now trying to get my money back. I spent 10 minutes in the room against my better judgement and then checked out.I feel it is my public duty to warn you and honestly say DO NOT STAY HERE. It is so terrible and the owners really do not care about their guests.

    First of all, this hotel is in an excellent location near the cathedral and the staff are very nice. Rooms are small yet clean and comfortable. Hotel is on a very quiet street and we were able to find free parking on that street for our car.When we checked in we couldn't get the internet to work. The clerk on duty said that the internet had JUST stopped working and that he couldn't say when it would be restored. We had zero internet for our stay.On the road we rely heavily on the internet to get us around and to our next location.That hurt.The other issue we had was that the Hotel package we purchased was supposed to include breakfast. The Hotel said that it didn't. When we contacted the company we booked the package with they said that breakfast WAS included. Had we had internet we could have resolved this at the Hotel while we were there.Before you book this place, first make sure that everything that is promised is actually available.

    I had to cancel my reservation (3 nights stay) the day before because I got positive to covid. They didn't issue any refund or offer alternative dates. They denied my request through booking without even answering my messages. I didn't stay in the hotel but I wouldn't trust them if something emergency happened during my stay.

    If you're looking for a modern hotel, look else where. This hotel offers everything you need, but from decades ago.The check in was quick and efficient (very German).The bed was comfy and the shower very good.Their breakfast wins the best breakfast for a 3 star hotel. Plenty of fresh juices, fruit and other continental breakfast items. Delicious.No complaints and would return just for the breakfast!
