  Perfect for me

  I was welcomed kindly and my room was clean and the perfect atmosphere. I liked the surprise of which room I would get. I only stayed briefly, one night, but I can confidently recommend it here and would go back if there's a next time. Fabulous place.

  Convenient and well run

  We chose this hotel as it is close to the railway station. It is an easy walk, even with two large suitcases. A bonus is the fact that is also close to the cathedral and other cultural institutions. It is a modestly priced, efficient and welcomin g place, run by a group of hard working friends. We enjoyed our short stay.

  Easy to find on side street, five minutes from main station. We booked parking which when arrived parked on street, nip in hotel and staff will give you key and directions, it's a lock up just opposite there sister hotel, it is a secure underground car park so good value and secure. On check in chose time for breakfast, they run three sessions. We were at back of hotel looking onto flats, room was shabby chic, larger than thought would be, could do with a spruce up and the toilet smelt of urine but overall clean. We stayed for two nights but during day wasn't feeling well, but not a place to rest. On both days from 8 am scraping of furniture and slamming doors, much quieter overnight. Very good breakfast, omelette was good so was selection and lady running service was great. Reception staff were friendly even telling us about a big firework event which we managed to see which was great. Overall for overnight stay fine and would recommend.

  Clean, great shower, great service and superb breakfast

  We were looking for a hotel to stay in for just one night in between train journeys. I searched for a hotel we had stayed in a few years earlier and had been impressed with a but I was unable to locate it on an online map. We settled on The Domspitzen because of its location so close to the main station. The hotel was very clean and although the room was on the small side, the bed was the usual German 6ft and perfectly comfortable. The forceful shower was great. What sets this hotel apart is the breakfast and the service- superb. The offering was extensive and of good quality with added extras available to order like eggs and bacon. The service was professional, slick and inconspicuous. It was while enjoying our breakfast that it dawned on us - we were at the sister hotel of the hotel we had stayed at several years ago! If you're planning a trip to Kőln, there's no better hotel in this price bracket, I'm sure.

  Hotel Domspitzen has an excellent location, close to the station, but also within walking distance of the Rhine and many other places I wanted to visit. It's surprisingly quiet, even with many guests. The room was clean, spacious and attractive, with an extremely comfortable bed. As many point out, the breakfast is good. The staff were helpful. I'd be happy to stay here again.
