    The secondary window lock was not functional. This is probably the reason for the room not being soundproof. At night the Kennedy bridge traffic was disturbing and audible . The most disturbing noise was, when cars drove across the bridge expansion joints. Also, the room was VERY COLD. No one could help and advised , that if the main electrical system is off, the heating stopped???!!! The very small printed DND and Service needs card was not read, that Housekeeping service is only provided each second day??!!!Cost cutting??!!

    Comfortable rooms, not very often and well cleaned. No slippers. Great breakfast with moody staff. Bar in lobby missing a better selection of whiskey and finger food. Pleasant barman. Important but silent renovation on 4th floor. No notice, no discount :—(

    We arrived tired and stressed after long haul flights ready to relax only to be given a room literally next door to building renovations. Even when no drilling was occurring we could hear people walking back and forth through the plastic sheeting in the hallway and smell the plaster dust. We asked to be moved and the next room was better but the drilling sounds could still clearly be heard 2 floors down which they did tell us. Due to renovations, they told us that rooms were being serviced only once every 2 days. That would be fine if they gave you enough supplies for 2 days but 1 regular teabag and 2 sachets of milk hardly fit the bill. I also think that all in one body wash and shampoo without a separate conditioner is not good enough.The positives are great location - very convenient. Friendly staff and the restaurant had great food and service.

    Super Place to Stay in Bonn

    We went on a trip to the Christmas Markets of Bonn, Koblenz and Rudesheim and stayed at this Hotel for three nights. Located close to the Rhein and local Christmas market it is a very nice Hotel with all modern conveniences. The Reception is big with a big public area for waiting or relaxing in, which doubles up as a dining area on Sunday nights. You can purchase snacks and drinks at this location fir consumption in your room. It has a good restaurant in the basement which provides everything you could want for breakfasts. Lifts go to all floors. In the bedroom one free bottle of drinking water is provided as well as tea and coffee making facilities. It was advertised as having a fridge but our room did not. As there were only creamer powder and herbal infusions we were glad to have taken one own English tea bags and fresh milk (which we stored outside on a window ledge as the weather was cold enough) The room was clean, comfortable and modern with a safe and with lovely duvet and pillows. The bathroom was excellent and towels were changed daily. All staff were friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this Hotel.

    Sorry to say that we felt the stay at Dorint Hotel Bonn was a rip-off and a flop. Allegedly, the hotel is a four star hotel but it certainly doesn't feel like one. Some good things first: One receptionist was exceptionally friendly and arranged for a room switch after we realised the beds were single beds (in a double room). The room was clean. (As for food, can't say, didn't dine nor take breakfast). Handicaps: the room was tiny. The spa area, which was the reason why we booked at Dorint, is crammed into the basement, with its tsmall swimming pool, in a low-ceilinged impersonal room, no view. There are two scrubby little saunas, with barely any room left to move or to rest afterwards. Yes, there were some deckchairs, but very few, and they were taken. Also, you wouldn't have had any privacy resting on those as people have to apss you from all sides to use the shower and to enter the sauna. Everything feels improvised, like "Let me see, what's the requirements for four stars again? Oh yes, saunas and a swimming pool. Well, we still have a small basement, let's just use that one". Like the suanas, the gym is tiny, rustic and smelly, and you have to cross it when you enter the spa area; it's actually right next to it. All in all, no joy. We'll never go again.
