  I wouldn’t class this a a hotel, rather and apartment complex, this is where I think the bad reviews are going from as people are expecting the full hotel experience.Arriving late at night they waited for our arrival and showed us how to use the key, lights etc.We stayed in a lovely apartment, it was clean and cleaned daily. The location is brilliant your right in the heart of Brühl, round the corner from Brühl mette which will get you in and out of Cologne and there is a shuttle bus every half an hour to phantasialand.I haven’t give this a 5 star review as I feel it would greatly benefit from a few extras, this did not ruin our experience but would have made it perfect.These are:- There is no air conditioning. Our apartment was near the top of the building and on hot days the room can become unbearably hot.- There is no fridge or drinks facilities in the room. We have children who are insulin dependent diabetic so a fridge to store the medication and allows to buy in drink we could keep cool in the heat would of been useful.Like I said these minor things did not detract from a lovely few days away, they would just made the days better.All said I would book here again and look forward to doing so in the future.

  A great little hotel with wonderful service

  I stayed in Balthasar Neumann for two nights while I was visiting Phantasialand the fun park in Brühl and it was a very pleasant stay. This is not a 5 stay hotel, but it was most certainly 5 star in service and hospitality. They were very kind to me and they kept my luggage for one day after check out so I could pick it up later on the way back from Phantasialand so that was very sweet and kind of them.I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for something comfortable and affordable, nothing fancy but clean, warm, and quiet.Thank you for having me there.

  Ideally located for Phantasialand trips!

  Perfectly placed for a trip to Phantasialand as the theme park bus picks up 5 mins away at the top of the road. Room clean and well decorated with nice comfy beds, TV and a somewhat 'bijou' 😂 bathroom (although it did have an effective power shower and a hairdryer was provided). Staff were really pleasant, accommodating and the guest rooms are located on a nice quiet street. Breakfast was orange juice & coffee served with a meat, cheese and salad platter together with bread rolls, hard-boiled egg and butter/jam. Can't ask for much more really on a shoestring budget. My only gripe (and it isn't about the accommodation) was that our evening meal at their restaurant (at an additional cost) carried a €10 'service charge'. 😭 However, if you're looking for digs near to connections to Phantasialand, this place is absolutely spot-on. 👍

  Dirty mess of a room. Grime on toilets, debris in corners of the room, no phone in my room to the office, and sheets were filthy. I got back to my room at 2130 at night, pulled back the sheets, and found filth. Bathroom was barely larger than an airplane bathroom, and there was a lamp next to the bed that had no outlet plug. Zero thought appears to go into these rooms or the service. I checked out that night and went to a better place down the street. The hotel fought with my credit card company and workplace and refused a refund. I told my workplace to remove this hotel from the authorized list for employees. The hotel's response to my credit card complaint was that I didn't allow them a second chance (in the middle of the night) to put me in a different room. I don't pay hotels so they can eventually provide good service. Do it right the first time. I had work the next morning. Worst hotel in my extensive personal and work travel. Seriously, don't stay here. Note: I shared this review on Google as well, and now the hotel is trying to hide/remove the negative review, claiming defamation. What does that tell you about this business? I wonder if they have gotten other negative reviews removed. Food for thought.

  Very good guesthouse close to phantasialand less than 10 minutes in the center of bruhl. Parking space is available and excellent service. We had 2 familie rooms. a familie room had two 2 bedroom rooms and a seperaat space for a single bed and sleeps 5 persons. It had a small comfortabele outside terrace. Breakfast was excellent all was nicely set up on the time we agreed and had everything you can wish for. super!
