The historical town of Brühl combines an exciting mixture of cultural heritage and a fun park environment for the young and young at heart.     I booked this hotel initially expecting a basic experience, based on its price and some mid reviews on here. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was great, a 5 minute drive from Phantasialand and 25 mins to Cologne centre. The pharmacy next door was very useful, as well as the Netto. The rooms are bigger than they look in the pictures. It was nice and quiet. My only problem was the 'double bed' was technically 2 single mattresses, however I feel this is simply a German thing. The room and bathroom were really clean. The atmosphere was pleasant - I spent some time in the lobby waiting for taxis and food. The included breakfast was fantastic - they had so much choice, from herbal teas down to the type of honey. The quality really surprised me. When I was ill, the staff prepared a tray of delicious breakfast items for my boyfriend to bring up. I really appreciated it. The service was amazing. Small details really matter - the little haribo packet on my pillow was a nice touch. Housekeeping were friendly, always saying hello. The reception staff really stood out to me. Upon arrival, I had a problem with my payment method. They simply told me "You are here for 3 days, take your time and pay later on." The service of one staff member really stood out to me. I didn't catch his name, but he had long hair. He was happy to speak English, and was eager to go above and beyond for us during our stay. When the Ubers were all booked up for Phantasialand, he called us a local taxi, ensuring it had a card machine. I really appreciate good customer service, and his attitude was great. Should I ever return to the area, I will definitely stay here!     An excelent modern hotel in a great location

    We have traveled to Germany on a family trip to Cologne, Dusseldorf, Essen, and Phantasialand.I have booked the suite, and we couldn't have been happier.The room was huge (seemed like two regular rooms combined together), even with a double bathroom (which is very convenient).As mentioned by many, the breakfast buffet has a lot of variety and is constantly being monitored and handled by the staff.The staff of the hotel are all super nice and had patience for any question or request.The location was excellent since it is at most a 1-hour drive from the mentioned locations (the park is merely a 5-minute drive away).The only issue was the lack of a fridge in the suite (which strangely is available in some other rooms), but the front desk assisted me daily with using their fridge to store my items.All in all, I will certainly return to this hotel when I travel to the same area.     Holiday with Boyfriend

    Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights as we were visiting Phantasialand and this hotel was nearby. During our stay the atmosphere within the hotel was very nice and welcoming and the breakfast was incredible with lots of selections. The room we stayed in was nothing less then what you expect from a standard hotel beds and bathroom a nice size. The cost of this hotel was reasonable with the breakfast included within the price. Cleanliness of the room was really good it was nice and tidy when we arrived on the first day and within the week we got our duvets changed with a little suprise packet of Haribos. Noise when at the hotel was ok there was nothing that woke us up within the night. So Overall I would rate this hotel a 4.8 out of 5 as it is a good place to stay of you are visiting Phantasialand.
