Old hotel, expect more of 4 star hotelNot friendly at the receptionApparently you don’t have to pay for city taxes if you visit Kohl Messe, but they didn’t mention it at the reception (they say afterwards that it was mentioned in the reservation mail)

Beautiful historic hotel in a great location

Room 305 is a single room with a curved window wall (I felt like a princess in her tower); quite spacious and very well appointed. A single bed, desk, lots of storage, a water kettle with assorted teas, lots of information about the hotel and it's history, a mini bar and a flat screen TV, as well as wine and water glass. The bathroom is small, but very functional. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and very well attended. The room and public spaces were very clean! Everyone I came in contact was extremely helpful and friendly and the location is amazing! Two minutes to the river, where you can stroll along the promenade and be at the Cathedral within about 15-20 minutes. Parking is limited, but available.I can't wait to come back.

Had a one night stay when travelling through Germany.The woman at the front disk was extremely freindly and service minded. Room was great and spotlessly clean.Hotel is located in a quiet area, but only 5-8 minutters walk to lots of restaurants and bars in the centre of Cologne.Parking could, depending on arrivaltime, be a challenge.This is our second stay at the hotel - we will definitely return again.

Stayed there for two nights during a business trip.Hotel is old and charming - the rooms are a quite small and clean.Breakfast is served in the basement and it can become a little crowded due to the small size of the room.The is no common living room where you can meet and relax with your buddies.Many nice restarants and bars in the neighborhood.

Nice hotel. Rooms are small and could do with an update, but very clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful, quiet area despite being near a main road and close to the river.Breakfast was good, nice selection of different options.
