    Poor service but budget hotel - will satisfy basic needs

    Very budget hotel. Cheapest bed with cheapest pillows and covers. Bathroom and general room was clean.Both male desk people were very rude and dismissive.The female cleaner was smiley and that was probably it’s only redemptive quality.

    I chose to stay in a hotel to help them stay alive in the competition with Air BNB, since hotels pay taxes and Air BNB don't. It happened to be a bad choice of who to fight for - the whole stay was bad, from begining to end. Staff members will smile and chit-chat, but what's the point if the service is just so bad? Bad bed, bad cleaning, no fair price for breakfast as there are incredible baleries around. Room too hot and it was spring time! Lesson learnt, next time Air BNB hands down.

    The staff here are approachable, professional and observant.Having stayed in two different rooms on a short stay in Cologne, I can confidently say I would book in here again as a primary option.Thank you already.

    Great Value - Excellent Location

    This hotel is in a great location 1 stop on the S-Bahn from Cologne central station (or about a 10 minute walk).The staff are friendly, the place is very clean with good service. The breakfasts are excellent, a full buffet style including continental and cooked options.The room as quiet with good wifi. My only criticisms were that in the room i was in (41) There were no sensibly located electrical sockets. The nearest one to the bed was about 2 metres away and one metre off the floor. All the others were as far from the bed as possible behind the TV. \The TV did not have an English channel option (You usually get BBC world) but other than these gripes, the hotel was great.

    My wife and I had a 4 night stay at this wonderful 3 star hotel.The room was large and very clean and the breakfast was first class,great value,lovely staff and only a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral.Highly recommended.
