The hotel enjoys an exclusive location directly beside the Rhine in the heart of Cologne. The city centre and the old town can easily be reached on foot whilst Heumarkt underground station is a roughly 3-minute walk away and Cologne's main train station can be reached in just 15 min.

Facility

454 non-smoking rooms are available to guests. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     A relaxing stay in an amazing building

    We stayed at the Hotel Maritim for a week as part of a Tui flight/hotel package which proved to be excellent value. We can understand some of the negative comments here, especially if the writers had paid a much higher rate than we had. Yes, it was annoying that one of the lifts was broken and yes, the breakfasts were expensive (though very good!). But our overall experience was really positive. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and very quiet. We were there during a heatwave and the air conditioning was quiet and effective. The spa sauna and pool were delightfully refreshing and scrupulously maintained. All the staff, from reception to room cleaners, were charming, pleasant and very helpful. For a four star hotel it was very unpompous and relaxed (in a good way). We ate three times in the hotel's Kolsche Stuff bar, and thought the food was excellent and fairly priced--and the beer was great. And there were many other good eating places just a short walk away. But most of all it was a treat to be experiencing this truly amazing building with its vast glass atrium. The hotel has a terrific location: 15 minutes' walk to the Dom and central station, with tram, bus and underground all stopping opposite the entrance. Best of all, the hotel has its own walkway to the Rhine Promenade.

    Solid choice for work. Good location, enormous atrium area. Room was spotless, breakfast was great and lovely environment. Pool and sauna were great. Only critique- Considering this hotel is enormous, the fitness room is the size of a broom cupboard, a bench but no weights! Really not good.But I enjoyed the ambience here!

    Clean hotel. Room was basic, not much info in room about restaurants on site. Breakfast was ok, usual for europe hotel. Location was very very good. Staff efficient but not overly friendly

    Amazing location, amazing view, and even more impressive service from Akar

    We decided to visit the Cologne Christmas markets, but only had one full day to enjoy it. We were checked into the Maritim Hotel Koln on the evening of 22 December by Akar, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout our entire trip. First, she advised us of a wonderful restaurant within close walking distance where we could enjoy the local cuisine and atmosphere that evening. Later, she gave us a map of Cologne and mapped out each of seven different markets that we could easily walk to. We were able to take this and draw out our plan for December 23 and successfully spend ample time in all seven market areas. The success of our trip would not have been possible without Akar's help. In addition to our market visits, The hotel is wonderfully set up with plenty of amenities; we also had a wonderful view of the Kolner Dom/Cologne Cathedral and the Heinzels Winter Fairytale Christmas Market (see pictures). Because of the wonderful service and location, as well as the hotel itself, the Maritim Hotel Koln is our "go-to" Cologne lodging choice.
