    The area of the hotel, felt very unsafe. With junkies all over. The staff in the reception in the evening was very rude. We want to go to the spa, so we paid extra, that also fine. But when we were in the spa, we got told to take our bikini off or then we could not go to sauna or damp. And the reception will not compensate us because they think they have told us and it also says that on the website, and it don’t. It was a no smoking hotel, but the hole floor at 2. Was smelling of smoking (weed).

    The hotel is well-maintained and features a courteous staff. However, it is important to note that the hotel consists of two separate buildings with entrances that are not located near one another. Additionally, please be aware that the spa pool lounge area accommodates both genders, and only a towel is permitted in the saunas, pool, and lounges. While nudity in these areas is culturally accepted in Germany, the signage could be improved.

    Beautiful and spacious room. Nice view to the park from the window. Very lovely receptionist woman with light brown hair very helpful and nice. She was a delight to be around. I don't understand these negative reviews here about staff at all. Location is right next to St. Mauritius church and 5 minutes walk to Neumarkt shopping area and U-bahn station. The spa complex was quite large and nicely decorated in a tropical theme. Hotel guests have to pay 10€ to use it, which is a discount, but in many other spa hotels, the use of spa is included. There was a restaurant area and many different kind of pools. There were two jacuzzis, one with good waterjets and others with useless ones. There were also two large swimming pools, one hot and one cold, which nicely balanced each other. Cool pool inside in the warm air and hot pool outside in the cold air. One with starry sky decoration and another with a tropical theme. The saunas were not so varied, 5 small cute wooden cottages and one steam bath. Slight differences between them in terms of temperature but they could have been more different from each other. Tourist beware that the sauna area is nude or with towel only, no swimsuit allowed. Spa area experience was slightly ruined by American tourists having sex in the pool and making everyone else uncomfortable to share a pool with them. Familiarize yourself with European spa culture and rules. Of course this isn't the hotel's fault, but there was no staff around to complain about this.

    Unique Therme Spa Hotel - I always look forward to my return !

    I stay frequently as I work in Koln but live in London please note. Hence allow me to keep this review simple as I dont believe anything/anyone is perfect - impossible ! I travel - frequently and a global traveller work and pleasure. Therefore if you love Therme Culture, dont want corporate and delight in unique ( and guess what its German ) book please - as you will not regret and indeed will delight in its location, ambience and therme experience. A number of reviews and I hope you celebrate read and digest them all ( good, bad and indifferent )- do not reflect in any way shape of form my experience of this hotel and therme -- i always look forward to my return

    Very disappointing stay

    Stayed two night in this hotel and never again. Our room was not in the hotel we had to walk down two streets late at night to get to our room. Our room was nothing like what was advertised in the pictures. It is difficult to explain what accommodation we received as it was a very small bedroom room and then a really steep stairs to two other beds in an attic. The accommodation we received and the fact that it was not in the hotel did not in any way match the price we paid. No manager was available to talk to us and when we asked for a move to a room like the room advertised we were told that none were available and if we did want to change that we might be able to get one In The middle of the next day . As it was only a 2 night trip we couldn’t waste a day trying to get a room that we had paid for and should have received in the first instance,
