Location

This hotel is situated beside the Severin Bridge, directly opposite the chocolate museum and the Rheinauhafen business district in the heart of Cologne. The lively city centre, with its countless restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops, is just 1.5 km from the hotel. The hotel has 12 single rooms and 192 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day.     Excellent is a bit generous but it is a very good place and saying they are good would have been unkind. The counter staff is consistently friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large and the little kitchen corner and the bathroom are separated from the main room. Nice. On top they have a coffee machine and a kettle and coffee capsules and tea options are in good supply.Taxi from Messe/Deutz is about 14 Euro and from HBF about 10 Euro. If you have a couple of hours, walking up the promenade to see the amazing cathedral is definitely worth it. Brekkie, at 25 Euro, seems on the pricey side.
