    We had a fantastic family stay at the Novotel Cologne Central. From the moment we arrived, Clemens made us feel incredibly welcome. He was very accommodating and took the time to guide us on where to visit, even marking recommendations on a map for us.The hotel is in a great location, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure, which was a nice bonus after a long day out.Liza was also very friendly and attentive in the bar area. I would definitely recommend the breakfast as well, it offered a wide variety of options and was a great way to start the day.Overall, we highly recommend the Novotel Cologne Central for a family stay.

    I stayed at this hotel for several days during the trade fair period. The location and general organization were acceptable; however, there are several areas that require improvement, especially considering the four-star standard and the high room rates.The rooms would benefit from refurbishment and updating, as the overall condition feels worn and below expectations for this category. The breakfast offering was particularly disappointing — the selection was very limited, with only a small variety of fruits, cheeses, and cold cuts available.Given the price level, I expected a noticeably higher standard of accommodation and catering. With some investment in room upgrades and a significantly improved breakfast selection, the guest experience could be greatly enhanced.

    There's much to like about this hotel. The facilities are very good. My room was spacious and well equipped. WiFi was reliable and the shower/bathroom great. Aircon was also reliable. It is on the 133 bus route from Cologne Hauptbahnhof - 4 stops, taking 10-15 minutes, or you could walk in about 30 minutes. Nearby is the waterfront with a range of amenities, cafes etc. My only quibble was a lot of families with small children were staying when I was. Whoever had the room above me didn't stop their kids running up and down screaming until late at night - it was like a heard of elephants - and it took me 20 minutes to get down to breakfast as the 2 elevators were so busy! The breakfast was excellent, but again A LOT of small children were running around, often unsupervised by their parents. I'd stay again, but maybe next time when it isn't school holidays!

    This hotel was very well located to access public transport to see all the top sights.We booked through British Airways and sent an email to hotel to try and help us with an interconnecting room for the 2 rooms we booked. However, this was not possible. Probably due to booking the break only 12 days before departure. With this in mindI just accepted the booking as it was. I was then delighted when we checked in to find out that the hotel could ensure we had 2 twin rooms right next to each other, which was very useful.The staff were very helpful all round. Especially, on two occasions when we locked ourselves out our rooms due to forgetting our keys cards and for storing our luggage.The rooms were of a very good standard. We all felt like we were staying in a very good quality hotel.The rooms were also spacious, clean and the comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay.

    Standard Novotel package, nice comfortable room. But it was not cheap and very disappointed to find no extras, not even bottles of water in the room - had to buy from a machine. (Previous hotel in Munich, same group, had a free mini bar - nice).The hotel is also a taxi ride from the city and there were only a couple of small restaurants nearby - fortunately both good.
