  Bed bug infestation. Terrible service - Stay away from this hotel!!!

  We had a reservation at this hotel from October 3rd to October 8th, 2025, but we were forced to leave on the evening of October 5th due to a severe bed bug infestation in our room. We were first assigned Room no. 10, and on the very first night, we were unable to sleep as we spent much of the time tracing and killing bed bugs. We immediately informed the reception and requested either a room change or accommodation in another hotel. Unfortunately, we were told that no rooms were available and that the housekeeping staff would “clean” the room and resolve the issue. However, proper bed bug treatment requires the removal of furniture, carpets, and curtains to locate the source of the infestation — none of which was done. The following night, despite being told the room had been cleaned and inspected, we again had to trace and kill additional bed bugs and even suffered bites. The room had clearly not been treated properly or even cleaned and vacuumed. The next morning, we again reported the issue to reception, showed photos and videos of the bed bugs, and even sent them electronically. The receptionist informed us that she could not contact the manager as it was a Sunday, but she did move us to Room no. 18. Unfortunately, the same problem occurred there as well, forcing us to check out and move to another hotel at 11 p.m. We traveled to Cologne for the Anuga Trade Fair for business purposes, and this hotel’s negligence severely disrupted our stay as we had almost no sleep during those days, not to mention the high relocation cost to another hotel. Worst of all, the management was so unprofessional that despite all the photos and videos presented, they claimed that they arranged for a professional pest control company to inspect the room and that no evidence of a bed bug infestation was found and so no refund and compensation would be offered. To sum it up: Stay away from this hotel!!!!

  Outdated hotel with outdated rooms

  The hotel is close to being disgusting – old, run-down, and reeking of sewage. The rooms are filthy and completely outdated. On one of the beds, I even found a pair of used socks, probably left behind by the previous guest.I’m not the type to be picky about hotels, but this is way below my standards. I’m here as part of a delegation, but if this had been a private trip, I would have walked out immediately and found another place in town.

  Awful, avoid at all costs 🤢

  Don’t go to this place! We were told our room was out the back of the hotel, it was like an old outbuilding in beside industrial bins which were overflowing with a big rat running around not to mention the fag ends and the washing hanging up! The building had the window painted over, was dirty and just awful, we complained to a very rude reception person, he gave us a room inside, next to the lift. It was dirty, TV was missing, shower head holder broken so you had to hold the shower and try to wash and flooding the bathroom was inevitable, carpet was dirty and stained, no safe for valuables, the window was a fire escape and the neighbours sat out on theirs smoking and drinking at all the hours. I couldn’t sleep, it was so hot with no AC, people came and went all night and quite frankly we just didn’t feel safe. The toilet was splashed with poo and despite asking to have it cleaned it never was, drain on bathroom floor was not screwed on and kept coming off, god knows what was lurking down there, the smell was foul. Breakfast was basic but not enough seats for guests. This hotel is surrounded by gay shows and bars as well as sex shops so not ideal for children, it was as awful as it could be, it should be closed down.

  Bed Bug Alert

  Bed was infested with bed bugs!Manager refused any kind of assistance in helping us get alternative accommodation and was very aggressive in her attitude towards our complaint. We returned home withmy wife covered in bites. And now we are afraid that the bugs might have travelled back home with us.

  Had issues with the initial room but was given the choice of three alternative rooms one of which was about 1* . . Having chosen our alternative room we ventured out for the evening and when we returned to settle down it sounded as though they were rearranging the floor above us . Extremely basic accommodation, well place ( if you don’t mind the sex shop and sex cinema next door ) . Bed linen was clean and the bathroom. Beds very comfortable. Carpets and decor very outdated , wood chip on the walls .Quirky, well placed hotel . Yet to experience the breakfast .
