    Was okay but dark rooms and no water or coffee making

    Hotel was just okay nothing more . Was convenient for the station but there is the problem as that wasn’t in the best of areas . If you like 1970’s style long shag pile carpets you will love it but wasn’t for me also the darkly lit rooms with poor lighting , no free water and no coffee making . The black ornate mirror and matching chair was thick with dust in its recesses but despite this the room felt clean . Breakfast was average . On the plus side the room was quiet and the beds were firm and nice and the staff were all excellent. The spa was excellent as well .

    Excellent! We absolutely loved this hotel. We were there very early as we got off a Christmas market river cruise. Daniella was so kind and let us check in so we could drop our luggage and get ready for our day exploring more of Koln. The place has such a cool vibe, kind of speakeasy vibe in bar and room. We got an apartment for the night, also cool vibe, comfortable and clean. Location is a short walk to train station and Koln Dom/Christmas markets. Staff referred us to a fantastic Italian restaurant for dinner (Da Pasquale) our favorite meal of our entire trip!! Only negative is it was very loud outside until about 3 in the morning and started back up about 5:30 am, we did have our windows open however, so it may be much better with them closed tight. Would def recommend, oh and it was beautifully decorated for the holiday season!!

    Such amazing staff , popped in for a roof top drink on my birthday ( which was closed ) but they truly looked after us .. even a surprised birthday brownie 🎈🥰🥳 so kind. Thank you to the lovely ladies for making the treasured memories of Cologne on my extra special day . 🙏🏼

    Stayed at the Savoy Hotel during the Gamescom 2025 event

    I travelled for the recently concluded Gamescom and stayed at the Savoy Hotel. Nothing prepared me for the clean and welcoming ambience. The staff were very friendly and professional. My room was ready before the 15:00 check-in time, and I was allowed access right away. On the day of checkout, I left before 12:00 but was able to store my luggage and pick it up later, as I had a late departure and wanted to visit Gamescom again before leaving. The rooms were spotless, and despite being in the city centre, it was very quiet inside the hotel. I had a great night’s sleep. All in all, it was an amazing experience, and I will definitely stay there again whenever I visit Cologne.

    To end a tough year on a high note, I met with my bff for the "City Spa break"- This includes an overnight stay and a Spa treatment. We were not disappointed. With the over-the-top Christmas decoration and a less than five minute walk from Cologne main station, it was the perfect location. The hotel seems to be a meeting point for German TV and media people. Nevertheless, the staff makes sure to make us mere mortals feel like VIPs too. We loved the atmosphere and the service. When you return home, sitting in a train from Deutsche Bahn and you are still smiling, you know someone did a perfect job.We are now seriously thinking about making the break a yearly tradition.
