This luxury hotel on Petersberg is truly a fabulous destination that has developed into a location for international meetings.     Terrific hotel with great atmosphere and service, friendly but not stiff, room was spacious, bathroom equipped with both bathtub and shower and two wash basins. Wellness was serene and lovely. Parking was easy in the hotel itself. Breakfast extraordinary and copious. Whole hotel clean as a whistle. We can absolutely recommend for a wonderful stay. Last morning, we were up above the clouds, a marvelous sight!

    Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel is a lovely luxury hotel in a perfect location for the Christmas markets. The building is beautiful and grand, and overall I really enjoyed my stay.Just a couple of things to keep in mind: the drinks, especially cocktails, are quite expensive, and the lounge was full most days. There didn’t seem to be a section reserved for hotel guests — it’s basically first come, first served — yet certain areas could still be reserved, which felt a bit unfair as all guests should have equal access.Aside from that, it’s a stunning hotel in an amazing spot, and I did enjoy my time there.

    Great stay in this iconic hotel in the middle of nature. Classy but large rooms with fantastic view on the valley and the Rhine. Breakfast was delicious and extensive.

    Stayed here for a three day city break with my husband. Highly recommend. In particular, the helpful and knowledgeable reception should be highlighted. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. Eggs Benedict, omelettes, and pancakes were also on offer a la carte. The were some hiccups in service (I believe this hotel is well-known as a place that trains servers?), but nothing serious. The evening offerings in the restaurant were also very, very good. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. The spa and pool area is “klein aber fein.” The hamam treatment I booked was one of the best I’ve ever had. The saunas could have been, and should have been hotter. The thermometers inside the saunas consistently showed lower temperatures than what was posted. We also found 9 p.m. rather early for closing on a cold and wet fall day. There are a few hiking trails starting from the hotel that are suitable for beginners. We did not book a room with a view. A mistake. It would have been worth the upgrade. We will be back.
