  Disappointing and Depressing 4 nights stay

  Extremely depressing single occupancy room.Have never felt so depressed in a hotel room before in life.There is not even an electric kettle in the room. They don’t even bother to spend a euro and give a complimentary water bottle every day.Beds are extremely uncomfortable and noisy.Housekeeping looked like an outsourced service to a couple who comes and knocks each door every day at 8.30am.The fire alarm went off mid day around 10am on Wednesday and kept on going for a while and the person at reception did not even bother to check and put it off.Due to a big exhibition in the city most of the hotels were sold out and very expensive, I chose this hotel for 5 nights. Finally checked out a day prior to my actual check out date and checked in at a different hotel.

  Not much to say during COVId. The extremely nice young man checked me in and left. The hotel wasn’t manned at all. It was weird to be - I think - the only one in the hotel. It was clean, water hot, and a nice bed. Simple rooms that suited for a perfect day away from the hotel.

  I visited the hotel during busy exhibitions days.The city was Jam packed and hotels fully booked.I found this hotel at a acceptable price.A single room with Breakfast was sufficent to pass my day. The Hotel was 15 min walk from Dom/central station.Busy area.Near to Grocery store and restaurants.The Hotel room was extremely small and small washroom just to fit in. Bed and Quality of sleep was below Average.Front desk staff was cooperative and even warmed my food.Lobby was of few square feets.In the morning Breakfast was acceptable with cereals and boiled eggs.Nothing extra ordinary..If i could have visited Koln in normal days i would have never booked this Hotel due to Size of room and facilities.If you find better option at a little more price go for it..

  I booked this through Expedia and missed the fact that the default date was one week in advance. So I stuffed up, yes. I immediately tried to call Expedia but couldn’t get through. Eventually after 3 hours or so I managed to get through to someone (I wasn’t waiting that length of time and when I did get someone it was pretty quick) I explained the situation and tried to get a refund. Expedia were very helpful, the hotel not so much and declined any offer of a refund. 100%, 75%, 50% or 25% off the cost to me. They would give nothing back. I understand they are fully within their rights, but.....One thing is guaranteed I won’t be booking that hotel again. If it’s part of a chain then they are out as well. Not a good result for customer relations.Expedia were great and credited my account with £25 for my next booking through them. Thanks Expedia. As for Hotel Centro Ariane you know where you can stick the money I paid.....

  Not bad for the price we paid and mostly friendly staff. However when we checked out my friend noticed she had left her watch in the bathroom, we went back to the hotel to retrieve and they said absolutely nothing was left in the room. I know for a fact I had left some jewellery because I didn’t want it anymore and thought maybe the cleaners would like it, so this just raises my concerns even more that infact the watch was stolen. The receptionist stated that he would let us know either way once he had spoken to the cleaners however have not heard from them, disappointed as this was an expensive item.
