  Nice hotel, clean and fresh rooms, just a little isolated

  Only stayed one night on a trip to Dortmund for Euro 2024. The hotel is clean fresh with decent size rooms and a good shower. The digital check-in (Fritz!)works fine but it is a bit of messing about. Although with multiple portals I can see how it can help when check-in is busy. Staff were pleasant and happy to let us stote luggage after check-in. There is a tram stop right outside which it helps but it's about 3 stops outside the main town of Bochum and there's very little else directly near the hotel. Although the trams seem frequent and its only a 5-10 min ride or you can walk into Bochum in about 20 mins or so. That said I woouldn't hestiate to stay there again if I was in the area as it's a really nice hotel.   I would avoid this hotel if you have a family, or are of ethnic minority.

  By the worst hotel experience I have had in a long time. We checked in on 21st having driven from the UK with 5 children to attend a funeral. The overnight receptionist was extremely unhelpful. Refused to assist with any of the check in process, until the system failed 4/5 times and he had not choice in order to remove the crying babies from the reception area. The bedding has a wet/damp smell. We then left again the next day and were not advised of the parking process or the need to reserve parking. When attempting to gain access to drop the children off, we were met with resistence again by the same overnight receptionist who laughed in our faces as he saw us struggle with the kids. I would go as far as saying he has a problem with people of ethnic minority - if your skin colour is not Caucasian - don’t book this hotel. To their credit, the day time staff were helpful, but not enough to make this anywhere near a pleasant experience. Avoid - there are other hotels who know how to treat families and children with care.   An excellent stay!

  I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a business trip. The check in process was smooth and the team were very welcoming. There were some gingerbread biscuits on offer throughout the day which was a nice treat. I had a room on the 2nd floor close to the fitness centre. The room was clean, modern and functional. The bathroom was spacious with a hair dryer and a plug for shavers / electric toothbrushes. The room was a bit cold and AC / Heating unit didn’t see to work as expected. I The downside was the shower with a half glass partition and a relatively flat floor, This meant that when showering, the water would run off into the bathroom. I had to use the towels provided to clean up after every shower. Breakfast was pleasant with a selection of warm and cold options, various bread and spread options. Juice, water and coffee was readily available. The staff in the restaurant were very good.There is a conference and business centre here located on the first floor. The hotel also offers parking onsite.   Okay, but housekeeping lets it down

  The Hotel is relatively new still fresh, rooms are comfortable, front desk and bar staff are super nice and helpful, but housekeeping let’s the place down. On arrival I checked into my room and found the food from the previous guest in the fridge, soap dispenser was more or less empty, there was a hint of soap in the bottom of the bottle. Second day, came back to the room, the unused towels were removed from the bathroom, I was left with 1, I went to reception to get a foot matt as the bathroom floor does get quite wet, so you need one (the one I had also disappeared into thin air). Minibar was not refilled (not sure if it is policy not to refill it, if it is than I was not made aware of that) and soap was not refilled either, but I had some with me so I used that. So due to this not the brightest star in the Hotel Universe. If nothing else would be free I might stay here again, fair well knowing that housekeeping works on a standard you’d expect in a hostel.   New hotel with very convenient rooms (at last a modern room with sufficient shelf space). Everything was top notch, even the Corona-style buffet breakfast. Sleep quality and sound insulation were great (if you want to sleep with open window, ask for a room facing the backyard).The area is not the nicest, but there is a tram stop right in front of the hotel from where you can ride in just a few minutes to Bochum's very city center.GHotel IMHO is one of the best options when staying in Bochum.
