  Very disappointing front desk experience by “Wasa”

  Very Disappointing Front Desk ExperienceUnfortunately, my stay was significantly affected by the extremely unprofessional behavior of a female receptionist (I believe her name is Wasa. Although I asked her name, she did not want to share openly!) at the front desk. From the very first interaction, she was rude, dismissive, and spoke in a blaming manner, as if the problems I experienced were somehow my fault as a guest.Instead of trying to help or show any level of hospitality, she made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Her attitude was far from customer-oriented and completely inconsistent with what one would expect from a hotel reception staff member, especially in a country known for professionalism.A hotel stay should make guests feel at ease, not stressed or accused. This experience left a very negative impression and seriously impacted my overall opinion of the hotel. I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue, as such behavior is unacceptable in the hospitality industry.

  A great stay

  I was a little dubious of the hotel after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor but we could not have been more pleasantly surprised.We were greeted by a very lovely lobby and friendly staff who checked us in. We then went to our room (Comfort Double) and it was great. Clean and comfy and much more modern than some of the photos on here show. The bathroom was a little dated but it was completely fine with a powerful shower and a few amenities.The location as many other reviews have said is the real standout, you’re essentially right in the middle of the old town and pretty much walking distance from everywhere you may want to visit.Overall I’d highly recommend the hotel for a lovely stay in Düsseldorf.

  Gorgeous location and hotel !!!

  This hotel is located at the heart of Düsseldorf, the farmers market is just in front of the hotel. The shops are within walking distance. We had the pleasure of visiting during the carnaval and shared the experience of the parade and concerts right from our hotel. The location is the best that you can have in my experience. With that being said the staff is extra friendly and ready to help. The rooms and hotel are gorgeous with green and gold accents.The beds are comfortable and bathrooms are decent in size and accessible.I recommend this hotel and i will surely visit again!   At 4am; with my door locked and a foot stool placed in front of my door for protection, someone opened my door wide. No notification it was a cleaner, no apology. I spent the rest of my stay paranoid behind a make shift barricade.Also to add, my toilet blocked but I managed to fix it 3 times whilst I was there. On the fourth time, it completely overflowed. The reception came up and tried to “help”, but after half an hour (without doing much but using a metal apparatus); he decided that was it and he couldn’t help anymore. He left a lone single female and told her to not use the toilet anymore or the bathroom, and to use the reception toilet instead - this all took place at midnight - 1am.When I asked if there was somewhere I could stay with a working toilet he shrugged told me he couldn’t help in broken English and left. I confirmed the next morning that someone was coming to fix it; the reception confirmed they’d check it when I went out today and it would be fixed by my stay that night - I was checking out that day…If you are a lone female, please pick somewhere else - Stay somewhere safer and not willing to put you in harms way. However, all guest rooms have security locks that cannot be opened without authorization, and even at 4:00 a.m., there is no housekeeping service on site. We have scanned the room lock for the duration of your stay; on none of these days was the room door opened so early in the morning. Please assume that ALL guests are very safe with us! However, we are very sorry that you felt uncomfortable. We have already forwarded your feedback about the bathroom to our technician to prevent such incidents in the future.

  Lovely clean and warm hotel, friendly staff

  We booked 4 double rooms in total as a family, no complaints, friendly reception and cleaners, rooms are very modern and well equipped with air con and a radiator in the bedroom. Room 302 looked over the flower market and was not noisy at all even when they were setting up. This room was the largest out of the 4 we booked with a long corridor. Bathrooms and rooms were clean, bathrooms slightly older looking than the rooms, but very clean and no mould. Couldn’t fault the hotel and perfect for Xmas markets and old town, just less than 5 mins walk to the start of the different Xmas markets. Lots of smaller markets all themed. We liked the handmade market the best, as you can watch carvings and metal work pieces being made out of the 7 markets we visited. It’s a compact city so no need to search for all the markets they were all close buy. This was my 2nd trip.
