    Great location close to the central train station, little Tokyo and entertainment. Breakfast was decent, but had to pay extra for it. Every staff member we encountered was very kind and spoke multiple languages. Our room was spacious and great for a family of four.

    Terrible hotel, staff were very unhelpful. I booked and prepaid for 6 king rooms with breakfast. On check-in I was told breakfast was not included so I had to show my reservation confirmation to prove it was included. I was assigned a single room as was someone else in my group. I complained and was told that the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. I was told that I was the only one out of the group given a single room -= this was untrue - and that maybe I could change the next morning if there was availability. I did get a different room the next day. At breakfast the next morning I was again told breakfast was not included and after I received my bill post checkout I saw I was double charged for breakfast. The hotel itself is very basic and is not as nice as it looks int he pictures. Stay in one of the other IHG hotels that are beside the main railway station and this this hotel.

    The location was fantastic, I cannot fault this what so ever+ the cleanliness + one member of staff at the front desk was so lovely and had good English to. But the other staff weren't as helpful and to be honest were a bit of a mess in regards of professionalism. I was very impressed upon arrival with the lovely lady with keeping our bags in a safe spot but once we came back to officially check in a 3, only one receptionist which is to be honest not fair and quote unprofessional. We were there for 30m just to receive keys, hoping to just relax after a long day/ journey, we got the wrong bedroom!. I paid extra for the suite to make sure my child would be comfortable and as a treat (an extra of quite a lot). Asked politely as I knew she was busy but waited again for 30m (sorry there is nothing I can do, the system is down) was the excuse but surely its just a matter of swapping keys? Anyway was told to come back in the evening when the lovely receptionist would be back - that was a lie because she wasn't there until morning, once I spoke to her it was confirmed (they had over booked the premises - -7 rooms the next day so I'm guessing there would be 7 very unhappy customers that day) did not get offered much in return, had to ask for breakfast or something as I lost money, we weren't comfortable in the room we were given. If one pays for a certain room that is the room they should be given!. There is no excuse for this what so ever and my daughter was very upset, I had to sleep on the floor the second night because there just wasn't enough space for everyone. Did not even get a part refund back. I understand its busy - put more staff up front, don't take bookings from the street when you have no availability and don't lie saying your system is down when in fact it was the staffs fault. Really stressful after a full day of travelling. Won't be returning to this hotel unfortunately. If it wasn't for the unprofessional approach and lies I would happily return because it was a nice and clean in a prime location hotel but I would not like to think of going to a hotel and perhaps having no where to sleep when booked.

    The woman in the reception was plain rude. We went to ask for a room good for 3 pax and the woman said tho my friends that there’s no available room due to renovation. So me and our friends checked an app for availability and there’s still available room in the hotel. Anyways, while we’re on the checking for availability, there’s a guy who also asked and get a room good for 4 people. So, we asked the woman to check again since the hotel is conveniet for us t.ex., train station. The woman answered us that there’s no available cause the room is dirty and no one is going to clean. We felt unwelcomed. After the conversation, we just head our way out and the woman just randomly blabbering words to us like us being angry and so on.

    Well this is my first and last experience in a Garner hotel. IHG WHAT ARE YOU THINKING. This is such a poor hotel and to open a hotel as you try to expand your market with such poor quality is such a terrible business choice. . Seriously you should send a team to audit this place. Close it and reopen when it is ready. It’s a building site firstly but the pain does not end there. Poor quality. Pillows and bedding worse than a holiday inn Express. Loud and very poor sound proofing so not a lot of sleep. Trust me. This will be the problem long term. The road is so loud and near a police station. All this without the building noise that feels non stop. No aircon. Roasting rooms. Bathroom right out of the 70s and that is being kind. When I say 70s I mean a 1970s school. So so so bad. This brand does not belong to the IHG family so forget any quality assurance you would normally get regardless if you stay at a Regent, intercontinental or holiday inn. Skip it. I will in future. Farewell Garner.
