    Traumatic experience

    I gave it two stars as the hotel is fine, but the shuttle service made the whole experience traumatic. The hotel states they provide shuttle services as such, they are responsible for the people or company they hire to provide this service. We stayed in the hotel before leaving on vacation and the hotel was fine. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. We had booked the shuttle to and from the airport in advance. We had both time the same driver. To the airport he had us put our suitcases in this beat up van by ourselves. Mind you, I am a 68-year-old woman. Thankfully, my son was traveling with me so he had to lift my suitcases in the car. The driver indicated he was from Turkije. (We were going here on vacation) and asked us to bring him back Turkish Lira. But nothing smaller than 200 lira bills?! We came back from vacation and called the number we were given to have the shuttle driver pick us up. We were at the pickup place (departure exit 10) however it was not clear the driver was on the other side of the road. He did not say so when we called, just “go to the pickup spot.” Due to that fact he had to wait on us for less than 5 minutes. He started screaming at us as soon as we arrived. He probably did not know I could speak German and seemed startled when I responded in German that I did not appreciated being screamed at. He continued to scream that because our late arrival and not looking out of our (curse word) eyes, he now had to pay extra money to the airport which is doubtful. The taxi cap had other people in it including a little girl who seemed scared because of this screaming man. It was a normal cap, already 3 people loaded and me and my son needed to get in. The cap driver stated if we could not fit, we could take the bus. I asked the cap driver for his name as he continued to scream that we made him wait. He did not give his name. He murmured something about (curse word) Americans and when I asked what he was saying, he did not answer. The other passenger in the cap told the driver to stop screaming and we would pay for whatever he needed to pay at the airport. This all went down with a 5 year old child in the car. We were piled into the car and the mother of the child had to take her daughter on her lap as there was no room. My son was extremely anxious (he has an anxiety diagnosis as it is and this situation was just traumatic). I blame the hotel for employing this driver or the company they employ that hire such drivers) They should NEVER have someone like this employ and insult and traumatize passengers including children. Needless to say, I will not use or recommend this hotel to anyone who also needs a shuttle to the airport.

    Due to a ten-hour delay of our flight back to Ireland, we decided to stay overnight at the Holiday Inn. Located in a business park setting, it’s a five-minute drive from the airport and an approx. 15-minute walk from the train station into the city.At time of writing, the hotel advertises a shuttle service between it and the airport. We booked this hotel on that basis, over others in neighbouring locations, then found out there is no shuttle. We therefore had to pay between 13 and 15 Euro for two taxi fares. Not impressed.Also, having booked a room due to our flight delay and asking about the possibility of early check-in at reception, we were appalled at the hotel’s policy of having to pay 10 Euro per hour, per person, to access our twin room early, or join the hotel chain’s loyalty program. We left our luggage and took the train to the city centre instead.Our average-sized twin room was modern and clean; beds were comfy, pillows outstanding; the shower room looked newly renovated and was spotless; the continental breakfast buffet was tasty and the breakfast lady super-nice. Very impressed with the quietness of the room despite being close to the airport and adjacent a busy road. Air-conditioning also whisper-quiet.One negative about the room was, that the in-room tea and coffee making facility was very badly stocked for two people and there was no milk available, only two sachets of “coffee whitener” full of glucose syrup and E-numbers. Yuck!     Great option to stay close to the airport before or after traveling

    We spent a night here due to an early flight from Düsseldorf aiport and were all satisfied. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast options were plenty and good and we even were lucky enough to find free parking in front of the door! If you have an early departure or late arrival, I can only recommend this hotel.

    This hotel was a disappointment, especially for guests who had no alternative but to stay nearby during the K-Fair. Despite having many customers, management chose to close the restaurant—which was only marginally better than the lobby bar—leaving guests with no option but to eat overpriced frozen pizza. Only four varieties were available, and they were sold at the cost of freshly made meals. Such practices reflect poorly on the establishment. Ultimately, a business thrives—or fails—based on how it treats its customers.     Great Airport Hotel

    This new hotel is spotless, well-thought-out, and stylish – quite possibly the best airport hotel in its price category.The bed was comfortable, but the blankets were a bit short and narrow. This wasn't ideal for taller individuals, particularly side sleepers, as it meant either your knees or back could end up uncovered.A big plus was the absence of annoying bright indicator lights in the room, which often disturb sleep. The air conditioning was commendably quiet, and the windows provided excellent soundproofing – I couldn't hear any outside noise.There isn't a disposable sanitary kit in the room; instead, they offer soap and shampoo dispensers (a nice environmental touch). However, reception can readily provide items like toothpaste, razors, or cotton pads if needed. The room was also equipped with an iron and ironing board, which was a welcome convenience.The staff were polite and helpful, and the Wi-Fi offered good speed and low latency. Breakfast was standard for an airport hotel.The hotel is located near the airport, though not directly at the terminal. It's about a 15-minute walk, partly through a light industrial area, and be aware that a 200m stretch currently lacks a sidewalk. I found this perfectly manageable, but it's something to consider if you have a lot of luggage or are travelling with small children.
