  SHOCKING AND UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE!!!

  We have been loyal customers of this hotel chain for years, but our experience here was tragic and completely unacceptable.Due to incomplete and misleading signage, we accidentally triggered the fire alarm. Specifically, the button to open the back door—which is frequently used by guests—was not labeled in English, making it impossible for a foreigner to understand what it did. Instead of handling their mistake professionally, the hotel management locked us out of our pre-paid room with all our personal belongings inside. They extorted us to pay a fire department fine immediately (979€) refusing to allow us access to our room until we paid. Crucially, they refused to show us any official written documentation of this fine from the fire department.After our initial contact with the manager, Natalie Labadas, she completely avoided us from then on, claiming to be "busy" every time we asked to speak with her again. She showed absolutely no willingness to resolve the problem during our stay. Disgracefully, she even refused to speak to us in Greek, despite wearing a badge stating she is fluent in the language.Significantly, right after our incident, the hotel rushed to change all the signs and labels in the building, proving they knew their signage was faulty. They showed zero willingness to take any responsibility for their mistakes.This behavior is completely outside the standards of this chain. Avoid this place if you value your safety, your rights, and your money. Holiday Inn Exp...   Comfortable, Convenient, but lacking customer service.

  First time staying at this IHG property and I must say it's been one of the most difficult ones to access. We had to do a U-Turn in order to access it, drive through a dealership parking lot, and drive to the other side of the hotel. So, it can be a bit complicated at first.Upon entering, it's a very clean and spacious hotel. The hotel staff we interacted with at check in were not friendly, were not professional and were not talkative at all. Out of all of the IHG properties I have stayed at this was one of the WORST check in experiences we have had. I was not even recognized for my IHG status either. In my experience after staying at dozens of properties, the check in experience is a big component being a member. It was severely lacking. Getting past this, the room, as small as it was, was super comfortable, clean, and perfect for a good night's sleep. It has all the amenities you're needing when staying at a hotel. The air conditioning was a very nice touch as well, being a warm day.We had skipped breakfast, as we were traveling to our next city, but I will say that check out was a much better experience. I did not get her name, but she was working the morning of April the 13th. She was super friendly, apologetic, and provided exceptional customer service that was non-existent the day before.Overall, the hotel is in a good location. Remscheid isn't too big, so it's quick to get around. Clean, spacious, comfortable, but the hotel management needs to work on the customer service representatives in this location.

  Amazing hotel

  The hotel was modern and had a unique design. The staff were great and very friendly. The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed, TV which can be connected to your mobile and also a modern sleek bathroom. Breakfast was good, amazing scrambled eggs with a decent selection for the morning. The bar would stay open till the evening for a good snack.

  All went perfectly. Staff was professional and nice. Hotel a t the room was clean and tidy. Breackfast selection was good. Excellent for people travelling by car. Enough parkin space. Only little minus was a bit isolated location from the main highway.   Very clean new and modern. The hotel was very quiet which was nice. Unfortunately they could not offer food in the evening and had to rely on take away food. Thankfully the hotel staff were helpful in advising where to order food from. Also very helpful on my check out day as i couldnt work at the office I was given late check out which was great.
