  The hotel is actually in the train station. The check-in was very fast, and the staff was friendly. When you walk into the main entrance of the station, look to your right, and you will see a door labeled Ibis.The room was comfortable, with good wifi and a TV, typical Ibis style. The bathroom was clean. The room was very quiet, no noise from outside. I did not partake wiht the breakfast offering. This is a great place to stay if you have an early morning train to catch. I can highly recommend it.

  Was staying in Dusseldorf between trains so the Ibis Hauptbahnhof was ideal for my needs. There's an entrance from inside the train station, and one from outside too.Check in was quick and the receptionist was really nice. My room was exactly what I'd expect from an Ibis. Basic but clean, comfortable and functional. Only criticism would be the bathroom which was too small and the shower pressure was pretty poor.There's a bar next to reception and a little courtyard outside. They've got a very good draught beer which isn't overly expensive and the barman was lovely and so friendly. There's plenty of dining options within the station which are open late, and a fantastic Turkish restaurant, Antalya, a few minutes walk away (not the one right opposite).All in all, for the price I paid, I was very happy with this hotel and would return if I ever need to go back to Dusseldorf.   The smell was so bad it woke me up.

  The smell was so bad it woke me up. We arrived fairly late after a late flight so there was no time to really complain or look for somewhere else. I’m just glad we only stayed for one night before setting off for onward travel the next day. The room was extremely basic but given the price point that was expected. The smell. It was like raw sewage all the way down the corridors and seeping into the rooms.Staff were very helpful and friendly on the reception and location was convenient.   Nauseous sewage smell everywhere! Don't even think to go to this hotel!

  The Hotel have a sewage problem for sometime but they don't mention this on their website or any other booking tool. The smell is disgusting, you need to cover your nose to walk the corridors. The hotel blame the train station and refuse refunds then you pay to smell shi... and they continue working like nothing happens.....there is several reviews on google maps or booking website and other places too, many people complain but the hotel managers are certainly more worried about their numbers than to offer a good and honest service!   In terms of location this is inside the station so ideal for travel. And about a 15 minute walk into the town centre of Düsseldorf. The area outside is a bit dodgy with a lot of homeless people around who will hassle people for money - we saw a fair amount of police activity - someone was being restrained on the ground outside when we first arrived. Price wise it is reasonable and the room had a comfortable bed and decent shower. Simple but acceptable. No kettle or tea/coffee in the room. WiFi available. Staff were friendly and allowed us to store bags after checking out for no extra cost.
