  I will not come back

  19 Apr 2026

First impression is not good about this hotel and I've been to many hotels. The "designer" thought it'd be cool to put a glass box in the middle of the room (aka a shower) for a bathroom with no doors!! So, it's anything but private. One of the walls in this doorless bathroom is all mirror, so, basically you can see an entire mirror wall from your bed (having mirrors facing you while sleeping is not healthy!!). There is a magnifying mirror mounted on the wall but it's so up high I can't see myself. The lights are ceiling spotlights, and are dimmed in this "bathroom" so doing makeup is nearly impossible. There are useless wood panels on the wall that serve zero purpose. During check in I asked the receptionist for toiletries because the airline lost my luggage and they didn't have any. I had dinner at the bar there are 5 or 6 items, the chicken caesar was excellent. But overall, this room has a horrible vibe, totally not private and does not accommodate accessibility. I would never come back here.

Budget room at €200 a night

  02 Jul 2024

I booked this hotel specifically because it says "Air Conditioning" in the rooms, I got to the hotel to be told "No we don't have air conditioning."Great start to a 31c day...I stayed in Room 123.There is a dial on the wall, it has - and +, it does nothing in this room and is actually broken, see video. My colleagues room turned on a small fan behind the vents when it was turned to -, it wasn't cold air but it did do something. That means it's probably been broke in Room 123 for months if not years. I did raise a maintenance request whilst I was there, nothing was done. There is a free "mini-bar" in the room, it contained 5 bottles. 3 were fruit drinks with over 24g of sugar per bottle, still water and sparkling water. The fridge was also barely cold, it's basically a cupboard in the shape of a fridge. The lightbulbs in the room were still incandescent, not LED, which meant as well as having no air conditioning they actually heated up the room. The TV was small and had no media setup for you to connect your own devices. The remote and TV are not locked down which means you can connect devices fairly easily but there is also only 1 plug socket behind the TV so if you want to plug in something that requires power, make sure to bring a socket extension bar.Big floor to ceiling window helped with the heat but relies on it being windy. The TV remote was dirty. The bathroom extractor fan made a high pitched whine. The ceiling in the toilet cubicle was botched together. There is a magnified mirror attached to the wall which perfectly caught the light into my eyes whenever I brushed my teeth.Water damage around the sink could do with some TLC.The towels are nice and soft, probably the best towels I've ever had in a hotel. The beauty is in the simplicity

  01 Jun 2024

I do not travel a lot, but i know that all travellers can tell that they can divide the hotels with good and bad energy. This hotel is simple, with positive energy and cheaper than the others, but with the same qualities and offers. The girls on the reception are great, regards to them. Hope to come back again. Ok for 1 night…

  12 Jul 2023

Only needed 1 room for 1 night, and was recommended to this hotel.Reception was good, bed comfortable and staff were very helpful.Free minbar was a nice gimmick ( soft drinks only) and room was generally well furnishedCould not get the Wi-Fi to work, and the TV was limited to few channels.Value for money though was good and is ideally situated for Düsseldorf airport Fariba Gholamalischahi, Owner at INNSiDE by Melia Dusseldorf Seestern, responded to this review Dear Chrismranger, We are glad to see that you enjoyed your stay with us. A drink you can’t digest

  11 May 2023

Unfortunately, I am writing an unpleasant review for this beautiful hotel because of the staff at the hotel restaurant. The barman on duty on the evening of 10/05/2023 forgot my order (and this can happen, especially as there was a private event going on in the indoor hall); I had to request my order again after half an hour and he apologised and served me the drink without any problems. But at the moment of payment the problems arisen: I decided to pay by card but he didn’t give me the order receipt and as I claimed for it, he started to speak in German in an annoyed way (sadly German is not my language). I asked him to speak in English to understand his grumblings and he started to discriminate on grounds of nationality. At that point there was nothing to add or to say.I have already been a customer of the Meliá group in several of the chain's hotels and I have never found myself in this condition, which is completely unacceptable, especially for a 4-star hotel. There can be bad days for everyone, but in this case, I think it is just rudeness. I hope this review will help the hotel management to take appropriate action. The rest of the hotel staff seemed friendly and polite so I’m sorry I have to write a negative review just because of one rude person, who doesn’t know how to do his job, in the midst of staff who try their best. You are a 4-stars hotel and situations like these should be prevented. Fariba Gholamalischahi, Owner at INNSiDE by Melia Dusseldorf Seestern, responded to this review Dear Losquillo, Thank you for your review and comments.I am completely appalled at your bad experience. This is definitely not how it should be. All team members are well trained in dealing with our guests. You can be sure that we will have a lont talk with the employee. But now I can only apologize and assure you that this will never happen again. Hopefully we can welome you back, I will personally take care of your next stay.Best Regards, Fariba Gholamalischahi, Guest Experience Manager
