    Good intentions but lacking for the price

    Hotel is well situated in Little Tokyo. Decoration is cute and made me feel comfortable and welcome. The room was really small which was still ok for me (one person- small luggage).The breakfast was good with a bit of everything.Intentions are good but this hotel is still lacking: One lamp was missing a bulb, the record player (nice touch) was broken as was the safe. The safe was so small that my iPad didn´t fit anyway. The phone was not working so i had to go down to reception and couldn´t call them. The boiler in the room is great but no place to plug it next to a table, i had to put it on the floor to boil water for tea. The reception proposed another room but i decided to stay anyway as i had only one night left (realised all these problems at the end). Reception was ok, not extremely friendly and not unfriendly but overall more was expected from this hotel.

    Was here in January 2025, attending a conference. Good and bad bits .....the Good - the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. WIFI is strong throughout the hotel. Breakfast is great. Comfy beds and pillows. Good location in the City. Lobby bar is unusual but did a good G&T! Decor is quirky, which brings me on the bad points. Rooms are tiny (NYC standard of small). Big bed dominates the room. No storage for clothes or suitcase. No aircon or fan; no fridge; no food outside of breakfast time; bathroom is ridiculously small, shower area tiny, shower head sprayed the water horizontally as opposed to vertically; Its fine for a weekend but no longer, and certainly not for business stay. the quirky "industrial" style decor may appeal to some and in the first instance its fine but it starts to annoy pretty quickly.
