  So things to know no staff whatsoever. Checking his via their web page they give you a number to check in your room there's nobody around. At 6:30 p.m. we got the last parking spot. The bathroom in our room smells and there is no ventilation it has a hot water heater and there's no air conditioning although you can open the window. I guess this is somewhat standard for Germany but not something we are used to On the bright side the place was quite in expensive around $60 All in.   TBF Had to be appropriate to what I paid £38 per night .Pea nuts Couldn’t get a room / hotel in UK for that .Clean rooms Powerful shower with toiletries .Bed basic but uncomfortable.Only issue was getting in the room .Key code / pull / push Once I got the hang not a problem.My mate never got in unassisted.Location - 15 mins on tram .Would return for this price Dominik Klein, Geschäftsführer at McDreams Hotel Dusseldorf-City, responded to this review Dear StuartC65,thank you for your excellent review.   Nice central hotel with good transport links close by. It can be a little noisy with the train running at the back, the road out the front, and rude customers slamming doors but on the whole this did not really distract from the stay. There is also parking if you bring your own car.Good hot shower and a very comfortable bed but as this place allows animals I had the unpleasant experience of finding two fleas in the bed, perhaps it might be good to fumigate every now and then. The room was also hot in summer but a fan can be provided which solved the problem.There is no reception and its all self check in, everyone had issues using the door code to the room but once you got it worked out it was ok. You can contact reception by phone or email.There is a nice cafe under the hotel but it is a bit expensive. And there is a service station next door that sells snacks and drinks including alcohol.Only a couple of English speaking tv channels but that is standard for Germany.This hotel fitted the bill for my stay at a reasonable price, I would return. An infestation can then be ruled out 100%.As you can see, we as a hotel react very seriously to such information and it is always our aim to provide our customers with a flawless hotel room.   Great Value for a Private Room, Clean Facilities, Minor Door Issue

  The price for a non-sharing room is excellent; elsewhere, it would typically be the cost of a shared room. The room and toilet were very clean and provided with soap and towels. The only issue I encountered was difficulty opening the door with the pin passcode. I had to ask someone who passed by, another guest staying in a different room, to assist me in opening my room door.
