Very nice hotel, but rooms way too warm with just a lot of excuses and no action.

    rating14 Apr 2026

Overall, great hotel. But the issue is the climate control in the room and all the excuses that I received from the front desk after numerous discussions. They had the heating on, along with the heated floors on which they had no control over. The only alternative was open your window, which then made it very noisy. We asked for a fan, but they don’t supply any fans and I couldn’t even get an oven and iron to iron my jacket and shirt. So overall not a pleasant experience. Proulx is wonderful staff wonderful room rooms are nice but attention to detail is not on their list. Hotel Manager, Owner at Melia Dusseldorf, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review. We're pleased you found our hotel great and enjoyed the comfort of our rooms.Your kind words about our dedicated team are sincerely appreciated. We apologize and understand your frustration about the issues with the air conditioning and the unavailable amenities; we are working to resolve these through operational checks.During the trade show, we often run out of irons due to high demand, so we have to wait until guests return them. We hope for your understanding in this matter. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future to show you the true quality of our hotel.Kind regards,Laura Kamperhoff, Guest Service Manager

    Nice hotel, poor communication

    rating07 Aug 2025

Meliá hotels are usually very good quality chain hotels. This one is situated opposite a nice and well used park. Taxi about 25€ from the airport. Walking distance to Altstadt, Kö shopping area and museums. We had a room with access to the Level lounge. The room was without a bath so do check if this is important to you. The Level was small but clean with a more restrictive food offering especially in the evening than possibly the bigger Level lounges. Staff were helpful and courteous at all times. The markdown for the hotel was the loss of hot water- effectively for 2 days. This was not communicated to guests, nor much apology made. The suggestion to go to the wellness centre in the basement instead was not much of another . A hotel should have hot water. No compensation or goodwill gesture was made which was a shame but appreciate that the problem was not the fault of the staff. Laura Kamperhoff, Guest Services / Front Office at Melia Dusseldorf, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your detailed feedback on your recent stay with us. We are very grateful for your kind comments about our location, the helpfulness of our staff, and your experience with The Level Lounge. We are always delighted when our team's service leaves a positive impression. However, I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the hot water supply failure during your stay. We fully understand how important this amenity is for comfort and relaxation, and regret that it significantly impacted your overall experience.Unfortunately, the problem was unexpected and required external assistance, which led to a delay in resolving it. As this happened on a Sunday, it was not possible to purchase the necessary part, so everything could only be fixed on Monday morning. We also recognize that communication regarding the problem should have been clearer, and we sincerely apologize for this. Please be assured that we have addressed this issue internally to ensure that similar situations are handled more transparently and proactively in the future. We regret that no gesture of goodwill was made to you at the time, as this does not meet the standard of guest care we strive for. Although the technical error was beyond our immediate control, the guest experience remains our responsibility, and we take your comments seriously. We sincerely hope to welcome you back soon and offer you the smooth and comfortable stay you rightly expect from a Meliá hotel.Kind regards,Laura Kamperhoff, Guest Service Manager

    Fair stay

    rating08 Jun 2025

Very well located hotel, the metro station is very close to it and it is within a walking distance to the city center,The rooms are fine, but try to avoid the one with a view to the main street, the tram noise can be heard. The breakfast is fair. Nothing is special. The staff are very friendly, especially the lady on the reception . Laura Kamperhoff, Guest Services / Front Office at Melia Dusseldorf, responded to this review Dear Makdissy,Thank you very much for your kind review! We are very pleased to hear that you appreciate the location of our hotel and the friendliness of our staff, especially our receptionist. Unfortunately we regret that the streetcar noise was disturbing in some rooms. We would be happy to recommend that you choose a room away from the street for your next stay to ensure a quieter night's sleep, as we are close to the city center. Thank you also thank you for your feedback on the breakfast - we are always striving to improve our offer. We hope to welcome you back soon.Until then we remain with kind regards,Laura Kamperhoff, Guest Service Manager

    Relaxing stay near Hofgarten

    rating20 May 2025

We booked 4 rooms through booking.com and Level rooms. Everything was good about hotel. Starting from the check-in experience, it was pretty enough and good. In the Level lounge, there is an Asian lady (Wilmar), she provided very good service to us. Whenever we asked for something, she promptly helped us with her positive energy. A special thank to the Asian lady in the Level lounge. When you open the window, bird calls became a meditation. Park near the hotel is absolutely great.
