Location

This hotel is situated close to Düsseldorf Airport (8 km) and the Düsseldorf/Essen exhibition centres. The centre of Lintorf can be reached in 10 min by car as can Ratingen Ost train station, and there is a bus station just 2 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Düsseldorf, where guests will find shopping facilities, museums and other entertainment venues, is 25 min away by car or 40 min by public transport.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 4-storey building with a lift and 120 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     This is currently a hotel used to hold refugees. When I turned up it had 20 riot police outside, clearly no longer open to the general public but I was never informed Also it has airport in its name. It’s a €30 euro Uber to get there, and in the middle of nowhere.Can’t rate my experience of inside the hotel as never got inside but my advice, get the train one stop and stay in Dusseldorf city centre

    Not a traditional airport hotel, but still a great option

    This is not your typical airport hotel. It is about a 10 to 15 minute drive from the airport, and doesn’t have an airport shuttle. It is still a great option to stay in. Stayed at the hotel for a week because I needed to go to Dusseldorf, Cologne and Essen on my trip and the location was extremely convenient. The good:- quick access to highway - very comfortable rooms- service is very good - very limited food options onsite but decent food- supermarket is about a 5 minute drive away. The bad:- no shuttle, I don’t mind honestly. I needed to rent a car anyways - limited food options- no restaurants close by- the biggest negative was the internet.     The Accor Booking Experience is Miserable and Horrible

    When I first booked this hotel, the Accor web portal changed my dates of check-in and check-out by two months earlier. I did not notice this malfunction until I got the email from Accor Group. I immediately had to cancel and Accor stated that I had to pay for the action of their horrible portal. I rebooked for the proper dates and my credit card statement had the two charges. I contacted the card issuer to dispute the initial charge and get a chargeback to Accor Group. Today I received a threatening email from some esel at Accor who was demanding extra fees on top of the initial malfeasance charge. The Mercure Hotel Dusseldorf despite having airport in its name is actually further away from the airport than the other city locations and invoked a 45 euro fare for the taxi in the middle of nowhere. The Hotel claimed to have air conditioned rooms but there was only one room in the entire hotel building that had an air conditioner. It was a hot and humid night in Germany and my wife had to beg for to be switched to the only hotel room with an air conditioner. Only Accor is capable of providing this level of horrific behavior and service. Next time NH will be my choice or anything but Accor Group.     Dishonest hotel.

    This Hotel is fundamentally dishonest. It is miles from the Airport, or at least near an airport in another town than Dusseldorf. It is also no where near Duseldorf. The management should be arrested. It is a disgusting sham and Mercure should be ashamed of operating in a totally immoral, dishonest and bottom sucking scam.     Shabby Mercure, not an airport hotel

    I am really sick and tired to see that many hotels name themselves AIRPORT hotel and have nothing to do with an airport at all, This is one of those: Dusseldorf airport hotel is in the middle of nowhere, not even close to the airport and not even in Düsseldorf.The hotel is ok for a quick stay, but doesn't have any airport transportation although it is published on the web. They also don't reply to emails sent before arrival.Last but not least it is expensive regarding its quality and location.I wouldn't stay here again.
