    Consistently good!

Another lovely Ruby hotel and exactly as you expect it. Rooms are all in the same white decor scheme with dark hallways. Galleys are helpful for teas and irons. The bar at the entrance is also nice here just to grab a drink or coffee.I have been a fan of the Ruby hotels and stayed in all 3 in Dusseldorf with this one being my favourite. The old theatre is unique and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast being included helps too and they have quite a decent offering given how small it is.The hotel does not feel full although there is a steady stream of people coming in and out, hence keeps the noise level down. Corridors are carpeted helping keep the hallway noise to a minimum. Room are spotless. Shower pressure is good. Beds are firm and comfortable. Air conditioning works well. Hotel location is also excellent and easy to get into the middle of the city.

    A Word to the Wise

    rating16 Apr 2026

If you are used to having **any** kind of customer service available at a hotel where you are staying, this is not the place for you. There is no front desk. You literally “check in “ at the bar. The bartender checks you in. There is no one to help you with any needs. If you call the front desk, you only get a recording that takes 5 minutes to go through random problems you might be having and it all ends with “email us at xxxxxx”. No actual to speak with. In my case, I followed their instructions and emailed them for the hotel’s help to reach/get an urgent message to another Ruby Leni hotel guest. Zero response to my email. Zero help reaching the guest. Just nothing. I think you’d have better customer service at a youth hostel. Marketing Ruby, Marketing at Ruby Leni Hotel Dusseldorf, responded to this review Hey Allison, thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry we didn’t meet your expectations on this stay. What you describe doesn’t reflect the experience we want for you, especially when you need quick help or a human response. At Ruby Leni, check-in happens at the bar by design. It’s part of our Lean Luxury philosophy, where we keep the arrival process simple and efficient with tech-led self check-in and check-out, while our hosts and the wider team are on hand to help whenever needed. That support should feel easy to reach and responsive, and it's a pity that wasn’t your impression.Your note about trying to pass on an urgent message to another guest is especially concerning. Even with our streamlined set‑up, you should be able to rely on us for timely assistance and clear communication. Not hearing back and feeling left without help isn’t the level of care we aim to provide. We appreciate you calling this out. We’re committed to refining how guests reach us and how we handle time‑sensitive requests, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance to show the attentive service we stand for.If your travels bring you back to Düsseldorf, we’d be glad to look after you and make your next stay feel effortlessly supported.Your Ruby Leni Team

Do NOT recommend this hotel at all

Terrible experience with this hotel in many ways —I have stayed at many amazing hotels and this one lacked in every category. Marketing Ruby, Marketing at Ruby Leni Hotel Dusseldorf, responded to this review Hey Sunshine,Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re genuinely sorry your stay didn’t feel right and that we fell short of what you expected from a hotel break. Our aim is a relaxed, well designed experience with friendly touches from our hosts and a good night’s sleep in a great location. Reading that this didn’t land for you is disappointing for us.If you’re up for it, we’d really value a few more details about what didn’t work for you, so we can understand your perspective and make sure the experience feels smoother next time. We’d love the chance to welcome you back to Ruby Leni and show you a stay that feels easy and comfortable from start to finish.Your Ruby Leni Team

    Brilliant

Fantastic hotel! We stayed for three nights without breakfast from Scotland. The hotel is clean, cosy, and has everything you need. We had fantastic tips on what to see from Ellen who did night shift there. She is an absolutely credit to your hotel as she really made the trip so much more enjoyable for us! Rooms are great, everything is in walking distance and there is shops and cafes only a few minute walk from the hotel. Alexa Fuchs, Marketing at Ruby Leni Hotel Dusseldorf, responded to this review Hey Romana,Thanks so much for the lovely words. It’s great to hear your three-night stay felt easy and comfortable, with everything you needed close to hand. Being right by Düsseldorf’s Königsallee puts you in the thick of the city, with the Old Town and all the boutiques around the Stadtgraben just a short stroll away, so it sounds like you made the most of the neighbourhood.A special thank you for the shout-out to Ellen on our night team. We’ll pass along your kind praise — she’ll be chuffed to know her tips helped shape your trip.On breakfast, we keep it separate from the room rate so you can choose what suits your day. We focus on good produce in-house, and our hosts are always happy to point you to some great cafés nearby if you fancy exploring. We’d love to see you again at Ruby Leni when you’re next in Düsseldorf.Your Ruby Leni Team
