    Great value room and breakfast

    Really enjoyed our 3 night stay while the Euro 2024 tournament was on. The location perfect to the station and short walk into the old town. The lady on reception could not have been more kind. Checking us in early as the room was available. The breakfast offering was varied and set us up for the day. Great value stay and would gladly return when next in town.

    Hotel was cheap and just fine for two friends sleeping there. The location was good, close to main train station. You had opportunity to purchase an average breakfast for 12€ but there are many good coffee shops nearby also. The bathroom was renovated and water pressure was brilliant.

    The hotel is well located - quite close to the main city attractions.Very friendly and helpful lady on the reception.The room was quite big and clean. Breakfast was quite limited and not really delicious.We were travelling with a baby so the biggest problem for us was that the elevator is very small and that you have to enter the hotel from another side when the reception is not working.

    I was going to stay at Hotel Batavia 17 - 19 April. Due to Covid19, hotels in Duesselford/Germany have been advised by government that they are no longer allowed to let tourists stay. The hotel proactively contacted me and even though I had booked the nonrefundable option, offered to let me cancel free of charge with a full refund. Friends who had booked other hotels weren't so lucky - both groups had to initiate contact with their respective hotels, one was offered a free reschedule to later on this year (reasonable), another was told that they would lose their money... Had a quick look and there are still so many hotels in the area that will allow you to make a booking (often with non-refundable rooms)...The experience gives me confidence that Hotel Batavia places importance on safety of guests, good customer service and ... well, decency. When I next travel to Duesseldorf, I will definitely want to book a room at the hotel again!

    I stayed here with my brother for a night whilst exploring the nearby area. It's a simple hotel and offers a fairly basic standard, but you'll find nearly everything you need. The rooms are a fair size and come with a quite comfortable bed and quite modern bathroom. The doors are still the lock and key format instead of swipe card like most modern hotels. Pro's: The staff were really very friendly and helpful and some of the nicest people we met on our trip. The hotel is also close to the main station, just a 10-minute walk.Con's: The breakfast was really very basic and quality rather lacking unfortunately and several lights in our room didn't work which left it quite dark.
