    This hotel was chosen by a cat club as a logistic base for an international cat show.Rooms are pretty new or recently refubished, they are fine. The overall facility is pretty new, so it would have been great, had the elevator been working. Not for me, as I had a small luggage and no cats, but some guests were older ladies carrying along cats and heavy luggage, and they had to climb stairs with their stuff in two/three times.Breakfast is not the best I have ever seen, but it is fair.The major negative point turned out to be staff, whom I perceived as very unfriendly (no will to "welcome home someone who is not at home") and quite unprofessional, with none at the front desk, or interacting with guests, able to speak English or any other language than German.Really, an experience I am hardly going to forget.

    This hotel is a real surprise. The owners have spent literally millions on this property and have invested well. Excellent modern bathrooms spacious rooms and a super balcony. Serways have really managed to change the face of motorway hotels in Germany. This location is ideal for any business in central NRW. We had an appointment in Wermelskirchen the next morning so the location was perfect. The view from the restaurant of the dam and the forest behind reminds of the Krombacher TV advert. Quite an idyllic location yet directly on the A1 motorway. Breakfast was also very good. Well done Serways

    My only complaint was the lack of anyone at the service desk when we wanted to check in and out. Both times a waitress had to break free of her busy rounds to come assist us. The girl who helped us at checkout didn't know English very well, but we stumbled through. The place is new and very nice. Our view was not of the lake, but it was still pretty to wake up to. We walked around to where the lake was though the next morning.

    although the hotel has 2 stars, it is equivalent to a 4 star hotel.you get your dinner or lunch served in minutes which is amazing.the chef cooks delicious turkey with veggies.the accesibility of the rooms is another plus.

    Although booked by mistake (I thought that the hotel was closer to my final destination the following morning) I do not regret staying at the Serways Hotel at all. Very conveniently close to the A1, nice rooms, excellent service
