Good hotel well placed for Hilden town centte
21 Dec 2025
Stayed here for 3 nights either a group of friends. I found the hotel warm, clean, nice public areas and very good staff. The hotel is well located for walking into Hilden, just a few minutes walk, where there were a good selection of shops and places to eat. Would recommend the hotel if you want to stay in the Hilden area. Would definitely stay again
21 Dec 2025
We had a fantastic stay and were honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews, as they didn’t reflect our experience at all.The rooms were a great size, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The shower was large and powerful, with lovely toiletries provided, and the beds were incredibly comfy. We also really appreciated the huge windows that could be opened to let in fresh air.The bar area was a real highlight — a great atmosphere and incredibly friendly, welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. There’s also a shop right next door, which is perfect for picking up snacks or drinks, and the city centre is less than a five-minute walk away with plenty of shops and lovely restaurants.Overall, it was a brilliant trip with genuinely friendly staff throughout. I’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city, or even to those looking for more affordable accommodation just 20 minutes from Düsseldorf. Dagmar Diedrichs, Owner at Sure Hotel By Best Western Hilden-duesseldorf, responded to this review Dear Nicola D,Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful review. We are delighted that your stay exceeded expectations and that you felt warmly welcomed throughout your visit. It is great to hear you enjoyed the spacious, spotless room, the comfortable beds, and the refreshing shower with thoughtful amenities. The mention of the large opening windows is much appreciated. We are especially pleased that the bar’s atmosphere and our friendly team stood out, and that the convenient location worked well for exploring the city. Your recommendation means a great deal to us.We look forward to welcoming you back on your next trip to the area.Best regards, your Sure Hotel by Best Western Hilden-Düsseldorf

Nice staff, but uncomfortable stay

There's not much choice in the Hilden area but this hotel looks good from the outside, and the staff are very friendly, helpful and competant, however, the aircon, wifi and noise from the road are not satifactory Dagmar Diedrichs, Owner at Sure Hotel By Best Western Hilden-duesseldorf, responded to this review Dear Simon M,It's great to hear that you appreciated our staff's friendliness and competence. Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend
16 Jun 2025
I had a very poor experience at this hotel, starting with a frustrating registration process and unprofessional service. The rooms did not have air conditioning, and when I raised this with the receptionist, I was simply told, “It will be very hot.” That response, combined with two extremely uncomfortable nights, was unacceptable. The level of service was far below expectations – the receptionist appeared inexperienced and unprepared to handle basic guest concerns. I had two upcoming bookings, both of which I’ve already cancelled.I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. This hotel did not meet even the most basic standards of comfort or professionalism.

Avoid this place
16 Feb 2025
Absolutely terrible outdated hotel that alleges to have 4 stars while offering a standard of 2 stars at top. Extremely overpriced - paid 180€ per night for tiny room with no window and tiniest single bed ever I never seen in any hotel in my life. Old, outdated, smelly… just horrible place. I don’t know of there is anything better in the area, but I would never stay here again and do not recommend this place. One of the worst stays I ever had in my life. Dagmar Diedrichs, Owner at Sure Hotel By Best Western Hilden-duesseldorf, responded to this review Dear Olga S,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Our team has already coordinated with housekeeping and maintenance to address the issues you experienced. We understand that some of our rooms are showing their age, and we have a phased renovation plan in place to refresh the accommodations and enhance overall comfort. We also recognize that the guestroom furnishings do not yet reflect the more contemporary feel of our lobby, and we are working toward updating all rooms gradually. Your comments are valuable as we keep our focus on delivering a consistently high standard for every guest. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a much-improved experience. Kind regards, Sure Hotel by Best Western Hilden-Düsseldorf
