  We stayed for 3 nights, and really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is so clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Room was lovely with a nice view. Breakfast was really nice. Would definitely stay again, thank you!

  Good for the budget

  The hotel is good, cozy and clean. It's a traditional small European hotel so do not expect the luxury of a chain hotel. Yet it's got the basics and it is near the public transportation. Rooms are a little tight but not uncomfortable.The only glitch is that there is no mini bar in the rooms. This should be rectified by the hotel management.

  The rooms were tidy, the staff reasonably pleasant, and the location, while not perfect, is very easy to get to the main sight seeing places of Düsseldorf via bus and U lines (all 2 minutes walk from the hotel). The buffet continental breakfast has a good selection of meat and cheese too.We didn't get to stay fully due to a family bereavement, and we were hoping to get a partial refund, we got 10% due to a misunderstanding of the small print (it said if we do not turn up we get a refund minus 10% for fees, they took this as if you do turn up but leave early you get a refund of 10% on the days not used). I will admit this was a little confusing but they did give us 20 euros back which is better than nothing.

  Just stayed for the weekend in Hotel Schumann. I stayed with my three children in a large suite consisting of two room and small reception room and bathroom. At £90 a night for the room this was fantastic value. The hotel is clean bright and staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious and have everything you would need including free WiFi. Breakfast is a well sticked buffet with a wide choice of cereal, breads, cold meats and eggs plus loads more. I would highly recommend. It is a 20min tram ride from the centre which the only downside but perfect for visiting the Christmas markets! There was even a tiny market in the centre of the square outside the hotel.

  When I booked the hotel I was a bit apprehensive as the price was so low. However I had nothing to fear and on alighting from the tram I could see the hotel a few metres away. The single room was very spacious and offered a large comfortable bed with all the usual amenities - HD TV with a multitude of channels, large opening windows, wardrobe and lots of space. The downside in the room was the bathroom was very small although it was well appointed and the shower was powerful. The lift was very small and slow, but apart from these two negatives the rest was very positive. The staff were very friendly and at breakfast were always on hand to offer assistance. The breakfast buffet itself was excellent and was included in the room price 4 tram routes, a Metrobus and various other bus routes stop at the terminus just outside the hotel and will get you to the Hauptbahnhof in 15 minutes or to the shopping area or Altstadt in 20 minutes. At weekend they operate 24 hours. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly stop there again if the price is similar.
