  Attention: the receptionist at this hotel may steal your wallet—please be careful. The hotel management tried to protect their staff and resorted to various lies. They refused to provide the camera footage. We reported the incident to the local police. The manager claimed they checked the cameras and falsely said that first I took it and then that my wife took it. Meanwhile, purchases were made with the credit cards inside the stolen wallet without my knowledge. Please be careful.   Never a 4 star hotel. This is more like a 1 or 2 star hostel. Very run down and dirty. Do not book this hotel! Very disappointed!   Absolute rip off.

  I booked my room several months ago. I arrived early, obviously too early to check in, but the guy on reception acknowledged my reservation and kindly took my bag in. I went out for a beer with my mates and came back to find the hotel is "apparently " over booked. The guy on reception helpfully points down the road to the Belle Vue Hotel , which, apparently, is my alternative. The place is a sh**tip, and Wyndham Gardens should be ashamed.   NOT A FOUR STAR HOTEL MAYBE TWO?

  Just returned from this hotel. I am well traveled and I always give an honest review. Hotel is well situated, 10 minute walk to old town. Rooms are spacious but shabby, cigarette burns on furniture, lamp not working, air conditioning worked but did not cool the room. The shower tray was very high from ground, when using the shower the bathroom floor flooded.Continental breakfast was good with cheese, meat, breads, cereal and various spreads. We booked this hotel as it advertised a bar, please be aware there is a small seating area, but they only sell soft drinks or bottled beer. We did not see any cleaners during our four days, fresh towels are provided on request from reception. This is definitely NOT a four star hotels by any countries standards.   Terrible Experience – Avoid This HotelWe booked a room for 3 people through Love Holidays and even paid extra to upgrade for more comfort. However, upon arrival, we were given a standard room, which we decided to overlook at first. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the main problem.On checkout, the manager demanded an additional €40 per day (a total of €120) for an “extra bed” that was supposedly in our room. I explained that we had already booked and paid for a room for 3 people, and I even tried to show him the paperwork to prove it. He refused to look at it, became aggressive, and threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay. He even claimed we wouldn’t be able to board our plane unless we handed over the money.The whole situation felt like a scam. Thankfully, Love Holidays are now helping us pursue a refund, but the stress and intimidation we experienced were unacceptable.On top of that, the hotel itself is dated and badly in need of renovation, and the manager severely lacks basic customer service skills like listening and problem-solving. Instead of resolving the issue, he chose to be threatening and rude.I would not stay here again – not even for free.
