  Very spacious corner suite. For a bargain price as I booked direct and paid in advance. Comfy bed, kitchenette, living room area, dining table, huge shower room and spacious bedroom with plenty of storage. Excellent buffet breakfast selection. Only negatives were some sockets that weren’t working and a la k of a blind in the shower room, both of which I did mention when I checked out. Helpful staff both on front desk and on duty at breakfast.

  A clean modern hotel in front of Essen City central station

  This is a nice clean hotel located almost right in front of the Essen City central station. It is situated adjacent to the main city shopping area with great choices of restaurants, markets, and shops around - an ideal resting spot if you come to Essen for a short business trip. Moxy is right around the corner so you have another choice of hotel from the Marriott network.Check in was quick and easy: front desk staff was friendly and polite. Assigned a suite on top floor and room space was adequate (though not big) but comfortably furnished. Breakfast is included in the price and choice of food items was okay - nothing special but sufficent to get your day going. Overall this is a nice property and I consider it a very good choice for short business trip. Hotel choices in Essent City are not many so the Resident Inn provides a clean modern option with good value. I will most definitely use this hotel again if I come back to this area in the future.

  Here’s a polished review for your stay:I had a wonderful one-night stay at the Residence Inn Essen City. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very comfortable.A special shoutout to Tanja at the front desk, who provided an incredibly warm welcome and ensured a swift and seamless check-in process. I also greatly appreciated the early check-in and room upgrade—it was such a thoughtful touch and made my stay even more enjoyable.We stayed in a corner apartment and it had everything that we needed. Highly recommended for families as it very spacious and had all amenities that you’d need.The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day on a great note.Overall, the friendly staff and excellent amenities made this a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend Residence Inn Essen City to anyone visiting the area.

  Very comfortable & relaxing stay, helpful & welcoming staff

  We had a beautiful & spacious room on the 4th floor. We had a kitchen, living area & separate bedroom plus a large bathroom. Upon check-in, the staff were warm & friendly. Really enjoyed the vibe & design of the foyer. We had 2 large sized TVs in our room. The bathroom was also spacious, I only wished it could have had a bath. Breakfast was super generous & diverse. My son loved the croissants with Nutella. We appreciated the option to use the coffee/tea facilities at any time. Proximity was ok to most things, especially the train station. Would stay again.

  Comfortable modern room. Friendly staff. Good gym. Dog-friendly. Very good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Only negative point was that onsite parking was a bit complicated (for us anyway) with entry/exit not activated by the hotel key and there were issues with my ticket. Other than that, recommended.
