  Good value for the money, but that's it. Broken door lock, soggy breakfast, wrong receipts and making up a quick surcharge for me when realizing I'm in need by the owner.Nothing more to say. Owner turned really unfriendly when pointing out that he made up the price on the spot just because I'm in need.

  Unacceptable Reception and Poor Service

  I stayed at the Grand Hotel Empire in Frankfurt from June 21 to June 22, 2024, booked by Lufthansa due to a delayed flight. My late check-out at 2 PM on June 22 was a nightmare due to the unacceptable behavior of the receptionist.After a quick tour in Frankfurt, I missed my transport and returned to check out and retrieve my luggage. Upon my arrival, before even entering the hotel, the receptionist approached me on the street, saying: “Oh, you’re the one from room 404?” He aggressively confronted me about an additional payment, saying: “You must pay the extra, or your card won’t work, and you’ll be stuck here. I don’t care about the rest.” His tone was extremely aggressive and inappropriate. Even the taxi driver had to intervene to calm the situation.When I mentioned that I would write a complaint, the receptionist, who appeared to be of Indian descent, dismissively said he didn’t care. Such behavior is unworthy of a receptionist. As a hospitality professional myself, I find this unacceptable.I strongly advise Lufthansa not to send their clients to such a hotel, especially after delayed flights. It harms Lufthansa’s image and customer satisfaction. I strongly discourage staying at this hotel due to this very unpleasant experience.

  The hotel is located conveniently outside the station, which is ot the nicest area of Frankfurt, actually kn the evening ot seems you are not in Germany.The hotel is not new or newly renovated; rooms seems quite obsolete but mine was clean. Sound proofing is not really the best as you can hear clearly what tour next door is doing.worst point is the "restaurant", I think you are better not even trying that, as there is almost nothing eatablecor drinkable. Diet is your best option to keep safe and healthy. Next time I will sleep in the terminal.Hotel is motel likely a 2 stars

  Not what I expected in a supposedly 4 star hotel

  If you’re looking for the convenience of having your shower in the same room as your bed, sheets with holes, a coating of dust on every surface, and a restaurant that opens at 19:30 that only serves Indian food with a limited menu then this is the hotel for you.

  While the rooms in this hotel were updated and it is in a convenient location, it is unsafe to stay there. We stayed 3 nights. Two of those three nights we had people walk into our rooms at around 2 am. We had to adjoining rooms with one being for my husband and I and the other for my children. First there are no peepholes to see who would be at your door. We had the deadbolts on in both rooms. The first night, a guest walked into my room because they were given a key to our room. It was a mix up and while scary, I understood. When I called the front desk they did apologize for the mistake. The second night someone entered my children's room. They left when she noticed they were there. Like I said the doors were bolted so obviously they do not work. I went down to the lobby the second night after them not answering the phone. I was extremely upset that someone had gotten into my children's room and the women at the desk yelled at me to get out. The male at the desk grabbed me by the arm which was uncalled for. He escorted me upstairs and when he saw my husband was only then apologetic. The elevator has a space where you are supposed to use your key to go up but it works without a key. We had to put furniture in front of our doors after the second intrusion. If you choose to stay here I recommend you do that. There were stains on the curtains and the bathroom walls. There are many other hotels around the train station, I would recommend you choose one of those.
