  A football weekend break

  My son and I stayed here for 2 nights, as we were going to watch Eintract Frankfurt football. The hotel could not have been more perfect, it is located about 50m from the stadium and a 10min walk from the local train station. We had nice evening meals in the hotel bar/restaurant, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The breakfasts were great, with a good variety of choices. Our room comfortably slept 2, bathroom was clean with a good shower. The room was bright and quiet.   Nice experience; positively surprised with the customer service (Niko and Rifat provided great service). The breakfast offered a variety of food and beverage options. The location is quiet and isolated in nature; it's surrounded by parks and trees.   Outstanding Service, Excellent Value

  This hotel is a great option for anyone visiting Frankfurt with a car, offering great comfort, peace, and value.The staff are truly proactive and consistently go above and beyond for their guests. We arrived quite late at night, and when the young man at the front desk noticed us circling, he actually came outside to help us figure out our parking situation with remarkable patience and friendliness. Later, when we needed an extra item for our room, he again went out of his way to get it for us. The following morning, the young woman who handled our checkout was just as friendly and helpful. Both staff members left us with an outstanding impression.The room was simple, yet spacious and had everything we needed, including comfortable beds, great water pressure, and nice, soft towels. We especially enjoyed the big windows, which let in a lot of natural light.The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, featuring both standard hotel fare and several distinct items, including different kinds of yogurt and a good selection of cereals. A major plus was the two coffee machines that dispensed excellent coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.In terms of location, it's perfect for peace and quiet, nestled a bit away from the city in a sports complex/forest area, yet remaining close to the stadium and the airport.   We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the stadium, but unfortunately our stay was very disappointing.We arrived around 1 PM with our 11-month-old baby and asked if it was possible to check in earlier than 3 PM. At first, the staff said they would help us, then they told us the room was not ready. We said it was fine and thanked them. Right after that, however, they offered us early check-in for €10. We asked how a room that was “not ready” could suddenly become ready for €10, and only after a more senior lady overheard us did we finally get the room without paying extra. In the end, we got the room earlier, but we felt like they tried to take advantage of us — it would have been better not to give us the room early at all than to treat us like fools.The second issue was at breakfast. After we finished, my wife politely asked and took a small bowl of food for our baby. A staff member came over and very rudely told us that breakfast was over and this should not happen again.Overall, the impression is that the hotel tries to squeeze extra money out of guests at every opportunity, under the excuse of “rules” and “discipline.” In a respected German city, this approach is truly disappointing.My advice: Even if you’re coming for the stadium, stay a bit farther away. We consider this approach uncalled for and not reflective of a fair review process.Regarding your specific points:Early check-in: Our standard check-in time is 3 PM. If rooms are available earlier, we sometimes offer an early check-in option for a small fee, which is a common international practice. In your case, our front office management decided as a gesture of goodwill to provide the room earlier at no charge, despite the fact that housekeeping schedules sometimes mean that rooms are not ready before 3 PM. This was not an attempt to “take advantage” of you.Breakfast: Our breakfast buffet ends at a fixed time so that our staff can clear and prepare the restaurant for the next service. Taking additional food after closing is against policy. That said, if the tone of communication from one of our team members felt impolite, we sincerely apologize — this is not the service standard we expect.We strongly disagree with your suggestion that our hotel is deliberately trying to “squeeze money” out of guests.   Nice but some major issues

  Relatively nice and clean hotel, however I have a few rather significant problems. The biggest being there’s no A/C my room was practically an oven, when I went to ask at reception if they have a fan or anything that could help cool my room down I was told they have given all the fans out and there’s nothing else that can be done. ‘It suck’s’ was what I was told. They really need to increase the amount of fans they have or ideally have one per room. My second problem was with the complimentary bottle of water, why was it fizzy? A much larger portion of the population drink still water compared to sparking, just seems like an odd choice.My next issue was with the shower, there was no where to put any of my own toiletries only the floor, just seems like a bit of an oversight.There are some lovely parts to this hotel but unfortunately it’s let down massively by the above issues. the TEAM of Lindner Hotel Sportpark, Other at Lindner Hotel Frankfurt Sportpark, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback with us.We are pleased to hear that you found our hotel to be nice and clean, but we truly regret that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations.We understand how important a comfortable room temperature is, especially during warmer days.
