    Great Hotel but we were charged an early check-in fee

    Pros:Great room, clean & spacious.In the center of Bad Homburg close to shops, the park and restaurants.Cons: We paid Euro 159 for one night and checked in early - another Euro 39 was charged for the early check-in. I have never experienced with any hotel an early check-in fee. That was a bit disappointing.

    A bit disorganized but a lot of positives

    Upon check in I was allocated a room. When I went to room there was a "do not disturb" sign on the door and it was clearly occupied. I went back to the front desk, They gave me another room. When I went to the 2nd room and opened the door it was decorated with confetti and balloons (wedding party?). I returned to the front desk and they provided a lovely room upgrade. The situation was handled well and the room and location was lovely (park view, air con excellent, etc). Breakfast also excellent.Note parking garage is terrible (small, very tight spaces) and not run by the hotel.

    We stayed at another Maritim hotel during our trip, and this one is a bit more dated. The room itself is quite spacious though. Bed was comfortable. Mini fridge in room, no hot water kettle though. Free bottle of sparkling water is provided. Children are given a small toy upon check in. My 4 year old was given a Playmobil figurine. My 1 year old was given a small rubber ducky. Convenient location - small Christmas market just at the rear of the hotel. Plenty of bakeries and restaurants nearby. There is a bus stop behind the hotel. There is a swimming pool. We didn't get to use it, but it looks well maintained. It's a weird walk to it though. There is also a sauna for 5€ extra and a gym. Breakfast was an additional 19€, so we opted out. The lady working at the front desk didn't really understand English though. Free toiletries included: bulk body wash/ shampoo combo, small bottle of body lotion. Underground parking available (I think we paid 22€/ Night). It's not a secure lot; it's a shared public lot.     Well Rating Maritim Hotel is like rating home, because basically i was staying quite a lot there when i was working in Bad Homburg. Nevertheless, it is one of the greatest hotels in Bad Homburg, definitely a Business Hotel meeting all the standards, nice rooms, nice location, nice bar and services but above all, very kind and attaching team which will make you your stay enjoyable.     Good stay at a nice location

    We stayed one night in this nice hotel which is nicely located in the center of Bad Homburg. Our room was good and spacious with a small balcony overlooking the square in front of the hotel. The room was however a bit warm at night. We parked our car underneath the hotel for 15 euros. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a lot of choice.
