  Very disappointed in this hotel as there was no coffee ot tea or even an electric kettle. No water provided in the room and no refrigerator either.

  First visit to Aschaffenburg staying with my partner and some friends. My partner has stayed at this hotel several times in the past - the last time was pre-covid. For a 4* hotel, I expected much better - I wouldn’t rate it as 4*Reception staff weren’t friendly, welcoming or helpful. The nicest staff were the breakfast staff team.Our room on entry was very cold. It’s dated and tired and needs a refresh. Beds were comfortable but we had to request pillows as we only had one each. Towels very thin and old. Basic facilities in the room. Our room was serviced each day however some of our friends in other rooms didn’t get any room service /cleaning until day 3. Those in our party who had stayed before said the standard of the hotel and staff had declined. For the cost (£110 per night), it was not good value for money and I wouldn’t return. Location is good but I sure there are better choices of places to stay in Aschaffenburg.

  Not a good change of management or transition period in 2024!

  I will start to look for another hotel. Since years, I am a returning customer of this hotel because of it nice team at the reception and the breakfast ambient. BUT since mid-2024, this hotel has a new management which has increased the price , but NOT the quality of its product. The breakfast food tray became less filled and less variety of offerings, the booking conditions less flexible/or say, very mean, and no more membership discount. The hotel desperately needs a uplift. But the new NEW management appears firstly wants to first save on the customer service and let customer pay more with reduced quality. This won't work.

  great hotel in excellent location

  Over the last 29 years I have visited Aschaffenburg many times, usually staying in one of 3 hotels, the Novum post being one of them. The hotel offers all of the things you hope for in a hotel. The hotel, inside and out is spotlessly clean, the staff are super friendly and helpful, and the location is very good, with bars and restaurants nearby. The indoor shopping centre is just across the road, and the town centre shopping is just a few minutes walk away. All in all it has everything for a relaxing stress free stay, and I recommend you try it.

  Old school decor - but squeaky clean

  This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the old part of town so lots of cafes, restaurants and shops around, also the beautiful church, the Palace and the park. All areas of the hotel I saw were spotlessly clean. My room was very spacious, and the bed was firm but comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped and I really liked that it had a bathtub. The decor itself in the hotel looks to be from the 90's and there is no sign of any updates having been made - so it's somewhat outdated but for me the cleanliness is much more important than stainless steel and stone everywhere. The breakfast was really yummy and the chef makes awesome scrambled eggs. One problem I had was the English (I don't speak German) channels on the TV were not working for the entire 5 nights I was there - luckily I could get onto my Netflix on my laptop! The staff were very friendly and apologetic about the tv, but I've only rated it average for service due to being told the TV had been out of order for the entire week before and they had not actively had it fixed.
