Average hotel. Good thing is they have cooking facilities.

Staff seem to not bother to make guests feel welcome. Maybe because we are Asians. Especially so the buffet restaurant lady who worked the morning shift.

    Racist receptionist

    rating08 Nov 2025

I recently stayed at the property and had a very rude and scary encounter with the receptionist Mr. Faisal. It was raining very heavily and as a tourist I didn't have the PayWave feature on my travel card. In order to secure an umbrella we had to tap the card and pay 2 euros. As my card didn't allow this, I simply requested the receptionist on duty, Mr. Faisal, to help me. I was willing to pay him the 2 euros in cash so that he could help me secure the umbrella. He denied the request. He said he would ask housekeeping to fetch me an umbrella. As I was on a business trip I was in a rush but I waited. Instead of making that request he told he will do it, ignored me, and shifted his attention to another guest. At this point it had been quite sometime and he was very unwilling to help, I told him I would photograph his ID card and report it as a Gold Marriott Bonvoy member. To this, he started shouting at me, telling me to get out of the hotel and behaved in a very racist manner. This is not what I expect and I'm deeply disturbed by this experience at a Marriott and hope management treats this matter with utmost seriousness and takes action against the receptionist so he may not behave like this with another guest.

Nice hotel in the hear of Frankfurt city center

    rating12 May 2025

First time staying at this property. Location wise, it is in the heart of city center with restaurants, shops, supermarkets and almost everything around - super convenient. I can't imagine anyone would fuss about this great location. Marriott has several properties in this very same area within walking distance to each other - Moxy, Residence Inn, JW Marriott and Westin, etc., you can pick and choose whichever one you like base on your budget. The only downside is, this area is constantly filled with locals and tourists, it really gets very crowded pretty much at all time. If you are trying to stay away from tourists (and street noise at night), this may not be the most ideal spot for you.Hotel lobby/reception is on the 2nd floor (or Level 1 floor by German standard). Reception is adjacent to the lounge and dining area where you will have breakfast daily. You can also pick up ice and fresh water at the machines right next to reception. A outdoor courtyard is also at this level if you need to step out for fresh air. Check in was fast and easy - my suite was located on the 6th floor. This standard suite was a bit smaller compared with other Residence Inns I stayed at other German cities but it is still set up comfortably - everything is tidy and functional. Considering this is Frankfurt city center, having a nice space as such is probably considered a premium so it is absolutely fine. Breakfast is included in the price and food spreadout is quite nice but it does get very crowded in the morning so you should either go there very early or a bit later, 7:30-9:00am daily is like a zoo in the breakfast zone.Overall, I am happy with my choice of RI Frankfurt City Center this time. As mentioned above, this area has high volume of foot traffic from locals and tourists. It is exciting to be in the city center but meanwhile, you do have to deal with the nuisance of crowd, noise and higher price of everything for being in the heart of city center. Good to keep that in mind. I will consider coming back to this property if I am not required to travel heavily on trains, otherwise I will likely stick to my usual hotel choice right next to Frankfurt Central Station.
